Why the busa?

(TIMMYDUCK @ Dec. 11 2006,14:10) King of speed isn't enough.....

Ok, lets see why else.

Great re-sale everbody wants one.

Bullet proof motors, in 4 years on this board I have only heard of 1 melt down.

You can out run Bell Jet-Ranger helicopters with a full tank of gas and a big sack.

Value, you can get all that bike, and a cup of tea for under 10k.

You look really cool doing stand-up wheelies next to the 600's, while passing them on the highway.

And each and every year Suzuki has given have us Bold New Graphics, doesn't make it confusing working on different model years.

HUGE aftermarket if that is your thing.

Plus they are just a very comforable bike to out ride everyone else on all day and night long.

The End.

except he's obviously NOT stupid...

Couldn't have said it better, but I'll pass on the stand-up wheelies on a 500 lb bike- for THAT I would have bought the Gixxer...

Fell in love in 99. But with parental obligations I had to wait. 06LE in may. One 1062 mile day and a few top speed runs later - this one will be around for a while. At 47 yo I get the "You look like you should be on a H/D" words when I fuel up. Piss on em. Came close to adding a 300 hp supercharger in Sept. But things didnt work out. Maybe this yr.

Busa is the perfect setup for a turbo application. That is the number 1 reason I went with the bike. Its low, long, and has plenty of history with FI.

That is a perfect description, nothing is better, one thing i really liked is how there has been close to no change in the 8 year running period, perfect for aftermarket parts, something on the 99 will still work perfect on my 06, except the 220mph gauges..

i have had more than enough different style bikes in the past 3 years from dirtbikes to 600's to twin 1000's, i have to say that when you are in love with motorcycles and performance you have to go with the best, and the hayabusa is the best. i mean i can walk into a hardware store and find busa parts.. had to go with the best. and omg, i took my friends new R1 around the block, and yes it was fun, but wow, it is so uncomfortable, like sitting on a plywood board..

It was the ovious choice for the type of ridding that I wanted to do. I love sport bikes but wanted one that is comfortable for myself and a passenger to be able to ride from 7 am to 10 pm. The bike is awesome looking and everywhere you go people look at it and know what it is you are ridding. It is just a great all around bike.

It's one of the best bikes ever made. It has power, smooth everything, and it even handles good. Also, it's so east to mod it, Oh, and it's the kind of all bikes!

The busa rides like no other bike out on the road and never feels like it is trying to come out from underneath ya, not to mention it is so reliable and built to perform on the drag strip.

I wanted more power and still wanted the handling plus be able to take long rides and be comfortable. Perfect all around machine.

Figured I'd try the big boy ......always liked Suzuki's , already had a 600 & 750 and I figured for the price , I might as well try the 1300 instead of a 1000.

Power, Fuel Capacity, Long Distance Touring Abilities, built for ONE
tounge.gif
, handling in windy conditions, Power, Looks
SHOCKED.gif
( me, I've always like it) , beats my old Duc ST4s in EVERY aspect, Power

And "OH" Yea, I look GREAT on it

All the above reasons .

and.... Don't forget....

For those with wives... it rides 2 up better than any other sportbike.

It's easier to sell her on it when she sees it and sits on it. Just prop her on the back of a liter bike and she how she responds with a resounding "You want me to sit on this thing?... I don't THINK so!"

for me everyone had the run of the mill rocket i looked a summer and only spoted 3 busa`s around me.it gets respect from everyone who sees it.
its big and fast

Versatility, 2 up to Solo, from Drag Race champ to Track day fun, touring, style, comfort, price, ease of maintenance, product availability, longevity/reliability, power, speed, dynamic performance and aerodynamic body design, as well as the ability to go farther on a tank of gas...did I mention the comfort?

I'm only 165, and when other riders see me wheelie the Busa, their jaw drops. When some see me flipping the Busa around corners as I try to keep pace with the little bikes, their jaws drop. When we go on long rides (400+miles) and I stop for gas and a smoke, while others are stretching, working the cramps out of their wrists and buttocks etc, you can see the envy in their eyes. I need to hit the dragstrip and log some low10's or high 9's (if I can launch worth a crap) then I will be able to check off all the blocks that make the Busa exactly what it is......THE BEST ALL AROUND SPORTBIKE!!!
