far as im concerned how do we know someone didnt die while assembling/building our bikes anyway?

Would you wear a dead man's watch? If my father wore it for years and wanted me to have it, yes, and I often do.

I have my own theories about objects from the deceased. If I knew the deceased and he would'nt mind, then yes I would.

If I didnt know the deceased, I wouldnt.

My version,(right or wrong), of respect for the dead,(and possibly ghostly individual).

I got my bike crashed and have no idea what hapened. A friend of mine got a 99 busa from someone for $1,000 that the guy lowsided and he slid into oncoming traffic and was killed. The bike never impacted anything and only needed a few peices of plastic,a lever, peg and some small part's. I worked on the bike to get it running and rode it around to try it out.No problem,it felt like a bike should.I like what someone said here(there is another gaurdian angle to watch you while on that bike) we need all the help we can get.

This is a morbid poll ya'll  I voted "maybe" ....like others mentioned. It was not the bikes fault. However it would creep in to my mind every once in awhile that if dude died on the bike....if when I go past large plate glass windows... if my reflection might resemble Ghost Rider

My neghibor rides his late dads bmw with a 100,000mi on it. Hopefully mine will live forever but , in that sad eventuallity rideing his 82 electraglide would be a great way to bring back some great memories. I know i couldnt sell it. But a bike someone died on no way . It seems disrespectfull mabey bring on some serious bad ju ju.

If it was a friend's then yes you should keep it, but if they died on it no. BAD JUJU

I had to ride home a custom Harley to the widow. My boss had to tell her about the death. She did not want ANYONE but ME to EVEN TOUCH the bike. It was an honor from her, but weird knowing that I actually watched the man fry himself with 880volts.

I recall a case a few years ago that the rider was said to have been decapitated by a barbed wire fence, the bike was virtually undamaged other than minimal cosmetic ... I just think it would make me feel a bit wierd I guess... ???

Dude, this is the stuff that nightmares are made of !!! The Headless Rider of Hilo!! On every annivesary of the riders death at midnight the motorcycle would leave the garage straddled by its headless spectre, cruising the hills, streets and back alleys with the exhaust sounding like a tortured soul screaming in the night. NO FREAKING WAY!

The person died, not the bike.

And he comes back for it ..... and anyone who gets in his way.

Didn't you ever tell ghost stories by the campfire or watch Kolchak The Night Stalker? LOL

My father-in-law committed suicide in his pickup truck (RIP), the truck went to my son and it never bothered him. BUT..we always called it "the deadman's truck". Matter of fact I have a couple of pairs of boots from my dad (RIP) and I call them "deadman's boots". Depends on your state of mind and how superstitious you are, doesn't bother me but doesn't stop me from playing with it either.
