If it was a friend of mine I would be Honored to ride it regardless weather he died on it or not..
Not a friend just some average joe, yes I still would buy or ride it..

I would want to know if the bike was safe to ride first, and if it is then I'd be fine with it.

Plus, if the guy left behind a wife and kids, the family may need someone to buy it to help pay bills or whatever.

my cousin was shot and killed while sitting in a rental car, a friend of mine worked for the rental car company and got delt the task of cleaning the car up, and they did in fact rent it out for 2 more years after that, so im guessing 100's of people drove it and never even knew...

far as im concerned how do we know someone didnt die while assembling/building our bikes anyway?

OMG! Ghost in the machine!

Did anyone ever watch Steven Kings "Christine" or "The Car"? Wow, lots of foder for bedtime stories...

dead guys bike? no a problem... crashed bike? no way.. crashed bike that killed the guy? double no way.. just a bit too morbid for me..

DG (dead guy) parts are good luck where Lamb comes from. It's the old "World according to Garp" logic. Not sure if that movie quote is to abscure, but we're running with it.

I like it and that is another one where the book is much better than the movie.

I lost a good friend on his Busa, I was there the night it happened and saw him before he past away. My best friend and I bought his Busa(what was left of it) as a tribute and to keep it in the family when the insurance was ready to part with it. I have his picture on my toolbox and think of him everytime I see a red and black Busa.
So my answer is YES, would not give it a thought.

Im totally old school never ride a bike that a guy dies on and never paint your bike green. three years ago there was a totally sweet pan head harley for sale two different people died on it in 5 years the selling price as only 5k and its totally sweet, the guy that was selling it still has it sitting under a tarp in his garage waiting to kill again. 20 years from now when the owner dies son kid will buy it at the estate auction and it will no doubt happen, yeah i know im a total ding dong but hey ya never know

If you are Superstitious then putting your helmet on the ground is bad. I do not do itand have been told in the past (I am old) that if you do, you are bound to bounce your head off of the ground?

had a buddy who died not too long ago, wanted to buy his bike, as a rememberence i guess. it was already gone but i would have definatly rode it.

he didn't die on the bike, but im guessing id feel the same way if he had.

All kinds of superstition. Fear or rather, phobia. An overwillingness to connect two unrelated events or things which do not belong together.

I hope one of you guys or gals is willing to honor me by keeping my busa on the road after I kick the bucket. Especially if the bike is still ridable. Frankly, if I die on the busa, I hope it's such a friggin' fiery blast that there's nothing left of me OR the busa! :D

I'd be honored to ride the bike of a deceased friend who loved to ride. What better way to pay tribute to him by continuing a tradition of doing what he loved with his favorite toy?

And if I didn't know the guy? Just as good and the added luxury of having not known him, you don't have to worry about treating the bike so well and being afraid to sully the bike by tossing it yourself.

I'm rambling. Didn't sleep good but the coffee is wonderful today!

Hey Boney1, I haven't heard that superstition about green motorcycles in many years. Yes, totally old school and I still won't ride a green motorcycle. But putting all that aside....is that Panhead still there?
