got stung 3 times this week while riding. just cruising down the road at 80mph. 2 in the shirt, one in the helmet. anybody else seeing this or am i just having bad luck?

They always rear their ugly heads this time of the year and become more aggressive. See...they know they are going to die soon. So they intentionally try to go out as suicide stingers.

Seriously.....

Got a bee in my bonnet in Idyllwild Saturday, but luckily did not get stung. I stopped very fast and got the helmet off in a flash, then could not find his little carcass anywhere. I thought it was going to sneak up and get me at any time.

If I get a Yellowjacket inside my helmet while I'm riding!!........I don't see it ending well. :errrr:

Man , about 3mos ago we were rideing 337 in the texas hill country and I don't know what it was but it got inside my jacket and hit me 4 times before I could get it out. It ended up leaving 4 large scabs.

I had a bee flying to my helmet on a decreasing radius 15 Mph posted turn. I had to grin and bear it as he stung me. Glad it was not a yellow jacket.

I hate it when any kind of bug gets inside my helmet. All I can think of is its going straight for my ear to lay eggs inside my brain. I HOPE I AM NOT ALONE HERE.

I was behind you when that happened. Looked like you were break dancing on the Busa.

 That's a kind way of explaining how I'm sure I'd look. It would take all I have to not stop, drop & roll

They've been rough this year~!!~

I have killed more nests in my yard this year than I have in quite a few put together~!~

Moved my grill, got stung...had a paper nest inside.

Killed two nests in the back at the pool.

Backed my shoulder through a paper hornets nest on the riding mower, got swarmed and stung.

Found an underground yellow jacket terrorist cave above the pool. Bee killer would not kill (2 days and 4 soakings). Had to take further measures with that hole~!~

Two nests around the garden, one wasps and one yellow jackets.

Been nuts this year~!!~ That and a 12 guage to 2 snakes, 1 at the house and 1 in the driveway~!~ I leave em alone in the woods usually, but they were too close to "not their territory"

That sucks i feel your pain.......I get stung at least 2 times a year by bee's

The worst is getting one in between you cheek in you helmet at 60 MPH oh that is frickin fun

im just worried about that yellow jacket.. i mean imagine buzzing along on.. minding your business, then some dude zips by on the worlds fastest sports bike and scoops you up... now your whole life is upside down.. youre stuck, pinned to the inside of some cotton material with sweat and unpopped back pimples in your face... on top of this your stomach is in your chest because of the g-forces being exerted by this crazy fast motorcycle...

i think you'd probably try to sting whatever you could to make the pain stop... and then you'd get out somehow, if you werent crushed.... and buzz off... you'd look back in amazement.. thinking how lucky you were that TommyGunn1300 didn't ride an ORANGE AND BLACK Hayabusa... because then you would have surely died....:moon:

One got me late last summer....lid was barely cracked & he flew in perfectly at about 55 mph....talk about a swollen lip!!!

I just can't see how a bee or any other flying insect can get "inside" a full face helmet. at any speed above 10 mph the chances of one missing splattering the face shield and making a wicked upturn to get into a helmet is astronomical.

No stings on the bike (more like SPLATS) But numerous stings while capturing honey bee colonies  Always seem to forget something important like tucking in gloves, etc.. :banghead:

Didn't get stung , but had one inside my helmet somehow. Cruzing down the road and he crawls onto the shield for a better veiw. Cracked the shield up a bit and out he went. Guess I got lucky with that one.

Are you sure it was Yellow Jackets? Normally they won't bother you till you disturb their nest . Well what do I know. All I can say is They hurt when they sting and it just gets worse. I've been stung so much that I think I'm allergic to them. One stung me the other day and my leg swelled pretty bad. KILL EM, but not while riding.
