it boils down to there are good cops and bad cops.. ive run into both.. no sense in arguing over it. i have mixed feelings about cops some are cool and some aren't.
but overall theres no sense in bickering over it here..
diesel why didnt u confront here face to face?ask her like WTF do u call that back there? dont get in physical with her but make her feel stupid.. maybe inform her that if she wouldve hit u what couldve happened to both of u.

Hey Bullet Train I just went up to the starbucks. They said that they called the cops on you because you wouldn't leave.
If you really want to meet tell me your address and we can find a half way point so I can't show you how well I type. We can fight anywhere you want starbucks or stars or in the bathroom of a 7-11 or in a box with a fow or on a train or in the rain. Starbucks and Stars is the local hang out for all the bikes in my town. Remember if you need help just call 911.

cops are to bad sometimes allthough one gave me poo for parking in a fire lane for 30 seconds...decided he wanted to lecture me about when he could have been out saving lives...he was kind of a dink. I started to walk away when i thought he was done but he stopped me and said "hey either you get the lecture or the ticket" If I had my liscence and not my permitt I would have asked for the ticket instead. I just get affraid someone will ride over my bike trying to park in my parking spot and i would have told him so but i didnt want to get busted. also he was stopping at block buster so I would have pulled his card on that beause thats something he probably shouldnt have been doing but thats ok he was just probably having a bad day because he may have found out his wife been cheating on him

diesel...we've all been there, and I know you didn't mean for this thread to take such a hard left. It's no fun to almost be taken out by a soccer mom, but the flip side is that next time you pass illegally because you're sick of following soccer mom, you'll be thankful the cops don't just drive to your house to tell you that what you just did was wrong...ummm, I just did that the other day, and the slow-pokes in front of me pulled over to call the police...glad they didn't come to my house 'cause I was in a bad mood...there's good and bad to each situation, and I'm just glad you were still around to rant about it...
As for the threats to cops on this board, man, that's just uncool Witte...not sure what your true beef is with cops in general, but I can assure you that our country would be a lot different without 'em. Why, we'd be able to shoot people on site for getting in our way or on our nerves...you could beat up old ladies in line at the grocery store for having 11 items instead of just 10 in the express line...you could dump hot coffee on your waitress for not pouring your coffee fast enough...you could run people off the road and watch them tumble helplessly down the ravine as you drive on and go about your day...
We all have experiences with cops that we don't like, but none of us can refute that they have to uphold the law...ALL LAWS...and if it costs you some money and aggravation, then welcome to being an American dude...everyone's got to be on an even keel here...I wouldn't want the job of cop, but I still respect what they do and how hard it really must be...
And as in all areas of society, you have cops that aren't good...not enough to scorn them all and damn them to hell, and surely not a reason to make threats to them...
Moderators, on another site I visit, some similar threats were made to a member and local authorities were notified by the site admin...threats shouldn't be taken lightly...I just hate to see this type of behavior and mentality taking down a site like ours, and I hate to see some truly great guys being threatened like this...EVEN though I know they can handle themselves!

Wow...just caught this thread....I see some newer folks really don't get the mutual respect for each other we try to cultivate here....and one newbie in particular seems like a real prick.....amazing how many tough guys you find on the internet....or in little packs with their buddies....but I've yet to find one that wants to talk smack one on one with me.....so I wouldn't take any of this posturing and posing to serious, folks.....
Oh...I love the guy defending the criminal "stealing bread to feed his starving family"....yeah, that's a HUGE problem these days, huh??? Can't wait for one of these clowns to have their bike stolen....bet they want the police to get involved then, huh??

Ah yes ---what a tread.....I have been a so called Cafe' Racer for over 30 years...
NOT ONE MOVING VIOLATION__EVER....73 to 2004....many times deserved a ticket i suppose...I never caused an accident as far is i know....One time I got pulled over and i thought this is it !! I've had it..Thought my FZR600 would be swinging on a chain on a tow truck..not so...His message to me was it would be very upsetting to have to call 911 and have them pick me up off the highway all bloody and messed up...I thanked him for the warning...no no..just be abit more careful out there..i don't want you to get hurt....He saw me screaming by at 8k on the tach..full muzzy....at about 55 mph...i was just keeping it in the powerband...hehe. Road home and thought...Justice was served.....no ticket and a very good experiance with the deputy.... Now i have a Busa-----so far so good.

Do you live in Fla as in Daytona Beach Shores???
Sounds like all the cops here what they would do, 911 call to them about 3 guys threatening to shoot and stab 2 woman across the street, cops NEVER came they went to the guys with the knives and guns, and then came over and asked the woman for their ID etc... but not the guys witht he guns and knives... Seems that these guys are drug runners and crack dealers, so if your every in FLORIDA, AVOID GOING INTO DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, DAYTONA SHORES PD IS ON THE TAKE every single one of the and avoid A1A and esmerelda especially the building on the north west coner the white door to the fla blizard(crack) LOL!!!
These cops are the ones who takes 6 of them to pull a woman over with a blown bulb while a woman on the beach is being rapped. TRUE STORY!!!

Now do not get me wrong their are good cops, ones who do not give tickets out but rather hold you till another call comes in be it a min or an hour or so just to make you late and all, to them making you late will make you leave earlier not to speed.. LOL!!! had a few of those talks with a few here LOL!!! and no I do not live in DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, I would not live their if you gave me a million dollar place FREE!!! rather live in a box... well not a box but you get the picture, SO if every come down to daytona stay out of DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, your 1000 times more likely to get pulled over for a mile or 2 over speed limit as a torist and ticketed, they feel you will not appeal it since your on vacation so please go around their, you will avoid true idiots....
