Ok, maybe my opinion is a little biased since I've owned 3 Victory's ( 03 Vegas, 04 Vegas, 05 Hammer) - but I like it. Victory really takes customer input to heart. M.Song the head designer is a genious, and brings form & function to a higher level. Heck, I was invited to share my input before they released the 05 Jackpot Vegas, and sat down and went over 3 prototypes with Victory Reps & Mr. Song for 2 hours - talk about customer input!
Victory now has a large share of KTM stock, & this is by no means accidental. Victory means business, & now with KTM I would look for some very inovative and cutting edge technology & design. If you dont like the prototype, thats cool Im sure you will never buy one. However, if you ever owned a Victory, or had a chance to put a few thousand miles on one, than Im sure the prototype will excite you - maybe not in looks, but in terms of innovation and technology. Victory is Very serious about motorcyles, and wouldnt be suprised if in the next couple of years you start seeing Victory making some waves in 1/4 mile events and possibly MotoGP.
Funny thing about the prototype, is some may say its ugly, but havent we all heard that about the Hayabusa? Sure I think the Hayabusa is beautiful, but its looks didnt sell me on the bike, it was the performance, comfort, and reliability of the bike & the looks was just a bonus. Anyhow, Im not trying to convert anyone to Victory, but like I said to start, I like the prototype, and knowing the type of R&D that has went into this bike, Im even more thrilled and excited to see more new stuff from Victory.
