10-Year Anniversary Freshen-up

mee too… I got those same calipers.... it didn't do much for me., but maybe its because mine are used... they are nice... I hope they can handle heat well... my right front caliper on it now is Melted... its going back to Long island in a while... for another couple grand in upgrades in sure.
That's pretty hard to believe Ali. These calipers are used by some racers, if yours are melted then some one F'd them up. That's why you didn't feel any difference. Or if you were using the OEM MC that might be the problem.

+1
If you have high dollar calipers that are no improvement over stock...it's time to bleed your brakes, rebuild the calipers and MC, and brake-clean or replace the pads.
Something's not right.
And you depend on those to stop you from 150+mph????

I meant having these calipers isn't "doing much for me".... they aren't installed yet.... I meant the old caliper (stock) is melted... gp4rx calipers aren't even on the bike yet... they are stuffed in my closet.. along with lines and adapters..... im not excited about having to buy a corsa corsa master cylinder or whatever its called either.... but I need it to complete this "brake upgrade"

ok that makes sense. you can get the old RCS but that's only a couple bucks less.

Hahaha , I don't believe that bro , you bought them GP4-RX 'cos you were excited about the nickle shine ', otherwise why would you buy the hardest to fit up caliper you could of ever of chose to fit to Gen 1 forks and their axial mounts , you goofy bastard :D !! Did you manage to buy billet mounting adapters to fit the GP4-RX setup already , or is Frank organizing that for you ? Of course the Beringer caliper for axial fork mounts would of been most obvious choice for the Gen 1 , for ease of fitment ( bolts straight up ) and proven performance . I know you just had to have them Radial Brembo's though bro , and why not , they are trick pieces !!
You don't have to spend up on the Corsa Corta pump , you can get the basic radial forged Brembo 19 x 20 pump , with a brake line pressure switch pretty cheap , or a RCS19 original model for around US $70 less than the Corsa Corta .
Once you do get them fitted , they will be night and day difference from the current 6 pot tokico and lousy stock pump , and as long as your old rotors are straight , and you are careful to run in the new pads , you should be in for a better braking experience bro , good luck .

honestly… I preferred the look of the nickel brembos as opposed to the berringers… and I just think busas and brembos belong together... and if I ended up hating the gp4s... I told myself that I could always use the cheaper model brembos…. lots of options when one goes Brembo on brakes... I saw a race team was selling these gp4s and for half price I jumped on it..... and yes I sourced the caliper adapter... its 6060 or 6061 billet... cant remember which... whichever one is stronger alloy.... anyhow couple hundred bucks there... frank told me to source alllll the parts and put the parts in a box (its a lot of homework to do to get these calipers to fit) and send him the bike.... im having him do a Robinsons output shaft support... the brakes... some dyno time MAYBE some c16(depending how brave I feel)… oil change/ and have frank ride the thing and make suggestions...…

6061-T6 will be fine for adapters , have you thought about anodizing them ? Anyway , Brembo are always top of the list for me also , I don't think you will dislike these calipers , and if you chose the axial Brembo path , you would of still needed adapters , because the axial billet Brembo's are 40mm or some I believe can go 60mm fitment , and your forks as you would know are 90mm axial fitment .

Sweet! Man I thought I was going to be able to annoy you for a couple weeks with that camera crack! Ha ha you are going to be impressed with those stoppers bro! When I first got my 108 mm Brembos I thought I was superman!
I hope so... I hope it all comes together.... money money money.. this stuff aint cheap... even cutting corners.

So they going to hang pretty low like I thought , especially since Gen 1 have 320mm rotors . They look like pretty neat pieces and the caliper looks nice from condition outside anyway .
well... I thought about that too... but the forks are cut and the bike is PRETTY low... so the calipers will be out of the way at least

Nope. It never ends. But this is one thing that is huge in the saddle. You will ride much faster when you believe in the brakes. Next to proper suspension setup, this is the best thing you can do to a Busa.
