Because I don't want OEM fairings. This is not an OEM bike and I want it to be special without looking like a paint canvas. So if I bought OEM I would then need a $1000 paint job. One dealer told me it was $500 more for unpainted fairings!

Confirming that now. Will post when I get a full run down of what that all includes.
They are actually CF on fiberglass so it's not pure CF. They have 100% CF for $3500 or so.

Well based on selecting the parts off their website in 100% CF and Twill/Blue it's $4,100+ without the tank cover. He told me on the phone it was about $2500. Sucks because this stuff looks awesome.

Something wrong with that ebay deal. Looks like a tank cover, not a real tank. If that's the case you can get that all day for half that price.

How could he offer that for that price? Those fairings have to be old or repaired fairings. My fairings aren't that bad. If I'm going to buy those I can just keep mine and paint them. I'm not in a crash situation remember, either I get something I really want or nothing.

well.. I dunno how he can offer that.... all I did was try to help u out.... im just saying that OEM are far better than any other alternative and u said u wanted NEW FAIRINGS.... PS arch... im a good shopper... that's how im able to buy the stuff I do..... anyhow... sounds like a great deal and worth a call... even if u don't buy the fairings... he may be a talented painter... for the low low.. 500 transactions and years and years selling stuff... not one customer dissatisfied

I personally would not risk buying anything from Motocomposites , I have a friend with bad experience , so that is enough for me not to risk such an experience . Plenty of good quality carbon fiber bodywork manufacturers worldwide to choose from .
