10-Year Anniversary Freshen-up

arch really has the setup u wanna see.... he is doing rotors also.... im not... if I can get away with these EBC light rotors.... that's what im gonna do.

Next time you visit bike , take a few measurements , get an idea of length needed for 2 lines running from calipers to pump . I don't think Brembo do the line kits , but there are plenty that will custom make lines for you . I think you will looking at m10 x 1.00mm banjos for Brembo , even the bleeders are 10mm x 1.00mm .
thanks man... i gotta order resoivoirs also I think.... I was SUPPOSED to visit frank and pay for master cylinder last week but I never made it.... a scumbag blindsided me and I have a black eye.... ive been in hiding for 1.5 weeks now.... embarrasing

Ali I ran stock rotors with my old Brembos for years all fine. To me the wave rotors are mostly show unless you really heat the brakes. I think calipers and MC are primary. lines too but any SS or Kevlar line will do nothing special. You are best to let Frank do custom lines. the attachments to the brembo are different, doubt you can buy off the shelf. High $$$ rotors add deep and stability but are less important than the calipers and mc unless you race.

She is off to get forks reworked. Clean out everything, check all internals, new seals, fresh oil, and when she is all buttoned up they will reset all the settings. I could feel the bike sort of pulling to the leaking side when I hit a bump. Very subtle sort of twitch, and then the line of oil on the slider tube. I'm guessing the oil level is down pretty good at this point.

This shop is run by Dave, a bit of a legend around here. His other shop Redline Performance has done a lot of work on the Busa and he is top notch. This Honda place is now on this side of the water and a lot easier to get too! Much rather have him do this than me!

I keep trying to find imperfections on your fairings, since you say they are beat up, but can’t find Any and she shines.!

@fallenarch how much do you estimate the set of aftermarket fairings and paint job will set you back? if you don’t mind posting those numbers.

OEM are about $2,500 (not paying that). Paint about $1000. I am looking at Plastic for $1000 with custom paint. Plan now is to go plastic and save the OEMs for if I ever go back to the track.

Ok. Just wanted to see what A full paint job more complex than a plain solid color was going for in your area. It’s all over the place down here.

Oops! Saw a car this weekend with a silver twill/blue carbon fiber material. I'm not crazy about carbon fibre. I don't hate it but it can look unfinished to me. But this stuff was pretty sweet! It looked similar to the BST wheels attached for reference. So I was looking and it looks like you can do all CF for $2400? That's less than OEM?! Also, the plastic is in the $1300 area with custom paint and insulation panels. That's with no decals. Humm got me thinking...…

its a 2400 gamble.... a lot of stories about aftermarket fairing issues arch... if ure seriously considering carbon fiber for 2400... why not run with what u KNOW works and fits perfectly...….. if u did oem u could bolt them right on and be refreshed instantly.....
