2003 Gsxr1000

The rear shock bolts into the top as expected(I guess I can still measure well, lol).
The lower clevis threads in the '03 shock are M16x1.25
The lower clevis threads in the '21 shock are M12x1.25
So my Dad will be machining an adapter or a new clevis, and either will be a win.
And the gold color goes with the gold chain, calipers, front rotor centers, and forks.

I got a rear fender for it too.
I'm not really sold on the look, and I need to paint it, but we'll see, maybe I'll trim it some.
I wanted the '05-'06 style that are flat, but I don't think they'll fit this swingarm.

Niiice, that rear tire cover (should) be over the axle or even a bit farther. Looks great and actually works. There’s a few companies that make extended covers for my Kawasaki and none of them are long enough to function any better than the original.

RaceTech .95 springs (oem are .85)
These will handle correctly for my weight, and better than stock.
I have new fork seals already, with 5w oil on the way.
I will wait until I finish the rear suspension first, just because the front wheel is in the chock now instead of the forklift stand, and it would just be a hassle to move it all now with no rear shock in it at the moment...I have enough other things to do on it anyway, lol

You might have mentioned already but, what’s the plan for the rear shock? I the the springs up front and hold valve kit for the rear shock on my gen2 and it was a nice improvement.

I just got a like new, low miles, Showa from a '21 Gsxr1000R model (like the '18 I ride) and they are great.
$1240 new...I got it for $147 shipped, lol
So the budget build is going ok,
a good suspension uograde on the cheap.
My Dad is going to machine something so I can swap the '03 lower shock clevis on it.
I alsp have Soupy's +2"/-2" lower links that adjust on the bike too, to get the ride height just right.
I have the fork springs already, and am trying not to buy the Gold valves just yet...but we'll see, lol.

@smithabusa made me a custom length Dealer Mode switch, and a Manual on/off fan switch(and the fan will still come on/go off normally).
All the extra wire is so the Dealer Mode switch can mount under the guages, and the fan switch on the handlebars.
I just need to make the mounts for them.
They were a little cheaper than a Maxx Ecu setup, lol...but support
www.boostbysmith whenever you can.
Thank you sir!

Fork rod bushings from RaceTech.
I'm going to order Gold Valves for them in the next few days, then I can rebuild the forks, as I already have the RaceTech springs, oil, and seals.
