Wow... here I go again...
HayaVegas- VERY well said! You obviously have the right idea and I share your opinion 110%.
I only wish more guys around here knew what they hell they were talking about... maybe we'd hear something other than, "Busa is King because I said so".
I think you may be right about these guys... they bought the HYPE not the bike and now they are highly threatend by anyone or anything that tries to open the blinds and let the light through.
People like this will never learn.... They don't even want to hear it when it's coming from a fellow Busa owner! Ignorance is bliss I guess....
Btw... Doug Meyer did 199mph on his piped ZX12R at maxton... and he also went 192mph at maxton on showroom stock 12R the same day. Did I mention the surface at maxton isn't nearly as good as our paved roads and you generally go slower at maxton than you would on the highway.
Either way, no showroom stock hayabusa has ever done 192mph at maxton.... maybe on highway magazine tests... but not at maxton with ECTA certified timing equipment.
Tedbiele- Don't get sarcastic in a weak attempt to salvage your pride. Lame .... very lame. A simple, "my bad" would have sufficed, but no... you had to continue to be a #####. Grow up.
BentValve- Did you honestly bring up the Guiness Book of Records? LMFAO ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You obviously have NEVER read it... simply "heard" of it like so many other retards that were suckered in by the hype.
Read it sometime.... it says, "The hayabusa was REPORTED to have been tested at 194mph in a magazine test, making it the worlds fastest production bike."
No formal test... no certified sanctioned equipment... not even the bike used was torn down and inspected! Yet the magazine that did the test ran it on a perfect day under ideal conditions on an 8 phucking mile straight!!!!!!!!!!!
And it was tested by itself... no ZX12R present to make the same run under the same conditions with the same rider in the same distance....
The Guiness book simply makes referance to a magazine test.... it's not official by any means. If you want to find the fastest OFFICAL sanctioned and certified showroom stock production bike... you can research the Doug Meyer 192mph ZX12R maxton run.
God I love it when you morons spew out that Guiness crap!!! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing I get yet another chance to shove it down your throat! Loser...
05BUSABLU- They call every new bike a "Busa killer" because of the hype. The Hayabusa is the most overhyped and geniusly marketed sportbike OF ALL TIME!!! It's got the reputation as the biggest and baddest bike out there... the measuring stick. Everyone either has a busa or knows someone who does. Little school girls know the name "Hayabusa". It's only practical to use the term "busa killer".. it's the most identifiable. It has nothing to do with it being so high and mighty and above all others.... it's about it's reputation. $hit... any of the new 1000's accelerate just as fast.. if not faster than the Busa or ZX12R!!! But you don't hear everyone running around saying, "ZX10R killer" do you?
Get over the hype kiddo.... all the hype in the world won't make the bike any faster than what it really is.... and when some guy on a zx12r/zx10r/cbr1000rr/gsxr1000 rolls up next to you on the road...... Hype will not save you, In fact.. it will only enhance the sting if you lose.
Oh and for your quote of Todd's infamous website and the Cycleworld numbers.....
Newsflash... the bikes were not tested on the same day. The Busa's numbers came from exactly ONE YEAR BEFORE THEY EVER TESTED THE ZX12R!! They never tested them at the same time together. The fact that R.G. a pro drag racer was down 3mph in the traps to the busa with a mag racer shows that the conditions were not the same. In every magazine test where both bikes were ran at the same time.... the MPH was nearly identical on both bikes and never varied more than 1mph. You obviously never run at the track.. if you did you'd know that some days the track is good and the air/wind is good and you run fast... and other days the track isn't sticking and the air/wind sucks.
Again... that website is a phucking JOKE!!! Todd Shelton puts EVERYTHING out of context and refuses to post up scans of the magazines so that you're forced to buy into his misleading information.
And you're dumb enough to buy it!!! Newbie....
