2008 Hayabusa

I know in my mind that your screen name means Georgia Educator, but every time I read it quickly it comes across as gay educator. Just giving you a heads up.

Since we are modifying screen names. I guess instead of CBlast yours should be CB*tch! The purpose of my post was to receive input about ways to solve my problem. If you want to take this to the street we can. CB*tch

Well, I understand your concern, If I had a grand invested I would be looking at ways to get it back too. Apparently the subject Honda dealer is not a Suzuki dealer also, but if you could find a Honda/Suzuki dealer maybe you could get them to take the RR and send your dealer a busa with your down payment applied to it. Dealers swap bikes around a lot.

310 783 2000 ask for motorcyclwe sale department & explain your issue, I'm sure the factory would perfer to see you happy.

Yes I'm a factory employee

Lighten up Gaeducator,

I kept thinking the same thing regarding your screen name. But back to your plight, $1,000 is a sizable chunk of change. I would pursue the timing issue and the fact that it's November and you still don't have the bike ordered in May.

The dealer where I placed the deposit is not a Suzuki dealer but only sells Honda/Yamaha. I have spoken to a delaer that will sell me the 08 Busa for $11,400, they also sells Hondas. I will contact them about possibilities regarding Busa/RR swap. I will also contact American Honda. Thanks guys for all the options available. Also CB*tch, still want to meet you behind the playground and get you to explain what Simple Fidel means, once the situation is cleareed up.

BTW, The 72 hours law is called the "Homesteaders Act" and only applies if someone makes the sale in your place of residence. This is a Federal act. It's honored in most states, but doesn't apply in this situation.

Have you talked to you credit company yet? This does fall under "Goods paid for, but not received."

Best of luck to you.

I'm not sure if there's a legal difference between bikes and cars but I once purchased and took delivery of a brand new mustang on a Friday back in 1990. Had like 6 miles on it. I drove it off the lot squealing the tires, put over 400 miles on it over the weekend and decided I didn't want the payments. Took it back and told them I didn't want it. They were pi$$ed of course and rightfully so. They charged me $500 bucks and took it back and I walked away. There's no way I would take delivery of that bike if I didn't want it.

YEP- My bad- there is only a "right of recisson", and it only applies to transactions in your home.

Since you are so smart and there seems to be something missing, why don't you friggin tell me what I am leaving out. I should have not posted here. I received many informative answers but I did get some Dumb a** responses. Thanks to the many intelligent responses that showed possibilities on both ends. Even had a damn idiot that said "Go get your friggin money back!! Wish it was that simple.

Guys what is with the attitude in this thread?

Addition posts in the thread had better back off from "personal attack mode"￾!

Listen, Like I said, I'm a Honda employee with the factory, not a dealer.

Call 310 783 2000 & Get ahold of someone in MC Sales,

They'll contact the district MC mgr and reply to the dealer.

This method will assist the dealer in effectively dealing the consumer,
And suprisingly maybe more to your benefit in a positive approach to the situation.

this is the southeast zone folks

XXX_Busa

Thanks for the heads up. I took your advice and got in touch with the MC sales dept. He took my info and is gonna make the necessary calls to get the ball rolling. I have talked to several dealers and they can't believe the tactics of the Honda dealer. Being a true optimist, I will eventually get my Busa. Thanks guys

keep us posted.... and the name of the dealer that is doing this to you is??

Good luck in your endovour to reclaim your funds.

Just always remember that the only good money spent on bikes is always at the Suazuki dealership.
