At the summit is Graffiti Hill, where the locals feel trapped. 707 is the local area code.

The temperature drops 10 plus degrees as we near the ocean and meet the ocean air. We can see the ocean from up here.

Mark says enough pics, let's ride.

Lots of light dark sequences

Branscomb to the ocean is tight twisty narrow single lane with several blind corners , but it rides atop a narrow ridge, super fun

We call these, gravity bowls

Lean in, set up the line, drop into the bowl, gas it, bite the rear & power out, flick to the opposite side , great fun!

A long time ago I stopped in to see the drive thru tree there and while I parked my 79 CBX under the tree to take a pic , a bus load full of elderly Chinese women pulled in. Their interpreter walked up and said one of the ladies would like to take a pic (on the bike). It was on the center stand and had my 22” seatbag on the rear so I said sure. I think I was headed to Montana. Turned out that nearly every lady wanted a pic, all sitting side saddle. Afterwards they all bowed and said thanks. Only took a half hour or so. Made my day.

Last leg of our day's journey, head back out to the ocean to reach Shelter Cove, one of the most remote towns in the state with one road that goes up and over the range to reach Shelter Cove, a promontory of land that juts out into the ocean and is surrounded on three sides by the ocean.
