2022 Pashnit Touring on a Hayabusa

The town of Willow Creek is centered around Bigfoot. The local restaurant, the hardware store, and the local dispensary.

Good news, bad news, this region of Northern California is often on fire, it's quite common.

For now, the road was open. But we have to check to make sure we won't get turned around, which has happened in the past.

Sheer luck, the latest wildfire had not crossed the highway, we could ride in between the two fires.

Wee smokey though.

But it wasn't too bad, no complaints, the road is just as fun as always. Fast ride along the canyon following the contours of the river. 60 miles separates the two towns, and we arrive in less than 60 minutes. Grins all around.

If only I could rent a sportbike out there...

What is the May 26 'Race Tour'?

Careful what you wish for. :D VFR800 or Multi is available in Sacramento.

Memorial Day Weekend this year is starting from the edge of Sacramento in the Sierra Foothills and ride into the NorCal Motorcycle Wonderland.

We'll also overnight one night in Auburn and go to the Speedway Races.

Very entertaining to watch these guys race the Speedway Bikes on an 1/8th mile oval.

Details> Race Day | Pashnit Motorcycle Tour

Also going to spend the entire third day along Highway 36. Epic.

This tour is almost sold out. I think I have one spot left.

What makes Highway 299 so fun is the mile-long curves. They go and go and go.

You probably go on the best rides most people including myself could ever dream of, I hope when I retire I can do this. I’ve watched your videos I could find. Do you have a link to all of them you could share? I think I found around 4 or 6 videos. I’m about to watch them again so I can dream.

Here ya go! These go back a few years, about 15+ years

Not sure if I have a favorite from these, they're all super fun. All of them were made by tour participants. I didn't make any of them.

Sierra Nevada Tour we do in June each season

One of the first vids we ever made with GoPros (when they were brand new). When I used to do motorcycle shows, this vid would play on a loop all day long.

Reaching Weaverville, there's a lot of Chinese history embedded into the gold rush history of California.

They have a Joss House here, a Chinese Temple. We had not been there in quite a few years. Covid shut down a lot of these places.

This temple was built in 1874
