I didnt look down again after i took a quick glance and it read 160ish b4 i hit WOT and the spray kicked in,i do have a speedohealer,Hindle exhaust.k&n air filter and whatever.all i know is i was going too too too fast for my eyes to focus and i cant say it was the smartest thing i ever did.i covered a 5mi stretch in just over 1 min
I've reached an indicated 200mph and held that speed for several minutes while on European motorways. Didn't really watch the rev counter. Was tucked as much as possible but who knows what my speed really was... All I know is that the lane markers were blurred and lamposts were coming at me quickly.
I have had her up around 185+ close to 190 with tail wind, it was a one time been there done that type of things. Now I can say I am in the 185+ club, but don't ask me to do it again. I was able to do it here in So Cal on the 14 freeway above Lancaster on my way to Willow Springs race track. Great conditions clear level road that goes for miles in the middle of the desert.
I've had mine up to 170 the first summer I got her. I haven't had the balls or got some brains all of a sudden. I just haven't been able to get it past 130 to 135 since.
I know i ran over 190 back when I had my HMFs n 40t rear-n I only weighd 225...walkd off on my buds' on a stock Busa w/open cans, and a ZX-12R jetted n piped...they can run 180s n I had easily 50' on'em when i shut down.
since I switched to 42t rear n got speedohealr, this is best it can remember
