Any guesses on Gen-3 weight?

I wouldn't trust those scales to be super accurate , I have seen those and or similar amazon items used and they give a good round about figure idea estimate . I would put more trust in a set of the expensive but super accurate Intercomp SW motorcycle scales .
Suzuki are much more likely to bull chit about the power figures , not so often the weight of their bikes , and would gladly tell you it is lighter if it actually was in my experience .

I agree.....a lower weight would make for bragging rights...they'd be crowing about that all over the place.

Yours came with a steering stem cover? I've had them on past generations, but they were aftermarket.
I have a Gen2 Hayabusa. The plastic cover under the bottom yoke of the triple tree right over the horn... You will come across that if you replace front brake lines. I recommend kevlar lines for maximum weight loss. That could be a pound right there.

Sunoco 93 but it does seem odd that it’s that much lighter. Figure 6lbs per gallon and five gallons is 30lbs less empty.

I need to research if there is a Cali model like previous Gen’s or why the big difference.
Would the gas not be closer to 8 lbs a gallon?
Which adds 10 lbs.

I’ll check another scale to verify but I’ve started removing parts at this point.

What? Water weighs more than fuel? I feel jipped lol

I agree, however it has a lot more smell than water, so that is a huge value.

I’m surprised also but I guess I’ll drain it all for empty weights to eliminate confusion.

Any fuel is going to be very consistent in weight so if the tank is full, I would not go through the effort of draining it. Personally I think that you have already put in the best effort that a person can to weigh the darn thing.

Scales are like broken clocks. A broken clock is exact two times a day but you do not know with the rest of its range. The scale is perhaps accurate at one point but varies all around it. The only thing that one could do is check any given scale with calibrated weight plates. Otherwise they are all moving targets.

I just checked with my friend that I most revere for his weight lifting. He has no calibrated plates, just "cheap Chinese junk." What was I thinking in asking? He is married and is not going to have high end weights. Duh.
