Bad Idea

Without pictures and a shop estimate, Sounds like a scam to me. We are always willing to help out a fallen rider when he is known to someone here. Your lack of documentation is making me think "maybe things are not as they seem". Sorry, but that is how it appears.

I agree. That was my first thought after reading that his engine block was cracked.

Come on.. show us your bike...

Beyond needing proof of the wreck here guys, I hate to say this because I'm always trying to give the members a shot, but this guy isn't learning from mistakes...the link to his earlier thread shows gear is not an issue, this is his first bike and he's crashed it twice now, doesn't seem to show signs of learning lessons and just wants to continue "trying to ride". I've always been an advocate for new riders, COMPETENT riders, taking on the Busa. It was my first sport bike, and the first for many that are still around to talk about it...I fear this guy is the exception and I say that not to piss you off, but to maybe get you to realize you may not be around to ride much longer. You'll end up being a statistic, and no one here wants that...

Dude, cut your losses and save your life...park the bike and don't think about riding again until you've taken the MSF course, have some seat time on a smaller bike and can afford insurance and gear...

hahah... yah some people dont listen.. And think they know it all. I started on an r6 then had a cbr 929 Then an R1 And now my busa since last september.

I have the r6 for 3 years. Had the 929 and r6 for 2 years further sold my 929 and r6 and bought the r1 had it for 2 years. And busa for 7 months i have ridden friends busas while i had some of my other bikes but decided to wait to get one. Not only for my safety but for the saftey of others who rode with me . before any stret bikes i rode dirtbikes and quads since i was 7 so. I had a bunch of ridign experience of course riding in the dirt is way diffrent then riding on the street but its got similarities .

I love my gen 1 when i pay it off in a few years ill buy something new and keep this one as well now since im dumping so much money into it . And i love it as well.

Not to sound negative but I don't think you should be on ANY street bike PERIOD. I would take it off road for a while and get yourself some training.

To keep riding on the street not matter what bike it may be makes ya a couple fries short of a Happy Meal in my book..

Go back to driving a car, part out the bike and live.   Your not getting the point are you?

Your one of the small percentage of the public that shouldn't be on 2 wheels.

I'm confused on just what you are asking. Are you asking what to do about the whole situation or are you asking should you fix your bike or just part it out.

Hmmm.

My 04 had a bent frame at the swing arm, broken plastics, and a bent output shaft. It was deamed totalled. I walked away because I had good gear on. The Busa is a bike that DEMANDS RESPECT!

I almost hate saying this but after reading all of his posts the only insurance he will need to worry about is MEDICAL INSURANCE. Seriously dude if you are still reading this thread you need to cut your losses and get rid of that bike like everyone else has said on here, heal up and go purchase a gsxr 600 and ride it for a few years then get a busa. Sorry all of this has happened to you but the busa is not a very good starter bike for a guy that only weighs 140 lbs. Not trying to p### you off but you almost got killed by a schoolbus for gods sake!

Hey man. I understand your frustration with some of these posts. You have to look at this from a dif. perspective. If you were a 3rd party to all of this you would be feeling the same way as alot of us. I'm not putting you down I promise but how old are you.

I'm also glad your sticking around. If you take any advise please don't get your skirt in a knot

Stick around here and expect some blows and roll with it.

You have to understand that none of us know it all. That includes you. All of us have some knowledge and wisdom to share with others. This is YOUR turn to show some wisdom by listening to opinions and advice from people who know more than you.

This is when you need to get some thick skin cause not all opinions are gonna be what you want. You have a grown up bike so you have to act grown up. You know what I'm tryin to say?

I've been staying out of it. Your money your life. But most of the people giving you advice here have been riding street bikes and Busas many years and have experienced alot on the road and in the forum. You showing them the same disrespect you are showing the Busa. Hopefully you won't be able to get the Busa fixed becasue lack of respect will kill you. But then again, as long as you don't take anyone else out, the gene pool can always use a bit of cleaning.

Brett. I think what they are getting at is this. You came here the first time looking for advice, hell, I talked to you on the phone for about an hour. You disregarded everything that the guys and I told you. Remember on the phone I told you first and foremost, ride legally. That means, license, insurance. Ride within your ablillity. You may think so, but I dont think your ready for ANY street bike yet. That doesnt mean you cant learn to ride the busa, but now you know how fast it can bite. Now, we havent heard from you in a month, then I get a phone call that says you did everything I (we)suggested you not to do a low and behold everything that we said would happen, happened. Thats why all the flaming is going around. Does that mean we wont help you out......no. BUT make yourself a part of this group, not only when you need something. Contribute anyway you can and LISTEN and LEARN. If you want to keep riding sign up NOW for the MSF course, its free in Illinois. Make up your mind what you are going to do and do it. Stay safe and let us know whats up.
