Bentvalve down, car turned in front of him,

Well since everybody's being real hush-hush about yesterday...I'll fess up some info.

I kidnapped James again. We went Hall Drifting to the terrace above the West parking garage. He seemed to have fun, but he was preoccupied with his current medical limitations (just to keep it a bit less personal).

We met with Eric, DJ, and Cherie. Eric had a friend along to help him with the puppies. (Don't argue with me on this. ALL dogs are puppies at heart!). My apologies, I'm teribble with names the first time I meet someone. (She was a looker.

 ).

The puppies were very excited to see James. Eric picked Lucy up, and she gave James a kiss, abd drooled on him. The ultimate sign of affection from a puppy.  James was obviously very touched by seeing the puppies. He said he knows they're being well taken care of. He said to say thanks to Drinky-Crow and Eric for helping out.

James was very alert the entire time I was there. I left him a foam brain to squeeze with his hands. That will help build his stregth back up. It will also help with him using his right arm more. If you visit, have him use it while you're there. The nurse thought it was pretty cool. A brain, to help his brain.  I also left him a toy to anoy everyone with. You'll have to visit to see it.

The nurse said James is doing very well, and is sometimes grumpy.  That's a good sign.

I'll be checking in with him every few days, as I can get down there. Next time I'm there, I'll take my laptop and ask James to dictate to me what he wants to say to everyone. I will do it with my login, so nobody gets confused that he may be out of the hospital already. He'll be there for a while longer. He has a few more weeks before he can put any real weight on his left leg.

Thank you to everyone for your support. James really does appreciate it! That's from his own mouth.

Doug

I received a PM from RSD. He specifically asked me to post what he requested in this thread..

So here is what he wants to say everyone..

QUOTE:

I can once again PM (only) from the old RSD acount.

2 favours bro.

#1. I need you to post up in the BV general topic, that I feel honoured to have helped the man. It is one of the best charity acts that ive'd had the priviledge of being a part of. wish him my best.

#2.Start a post up about how all future RSD funds be sent to BV instead.

He is moving his toes and fingers on the right side. Albeit I had to argue with him to get him to show me. He had a few choice words for me and told me I was BSing him that he never had full use of his right side.

His conversations and comprehension level improves every day. His attention span is getting longer. But he still has long moments of talking/asking about stuff I have no clue what he's saying.

He set off the bed alarm a few times. He is convinced he can walk and he has the upper body strength to get himself half way out of bed. If he's successful, he'll probably break both legs. The nurses definitely come running when that alarm goes off.

He is almost to the point where they will move him out of the Trauma Surgery area and down to another room.

i dont have a job where i get to hit the board everyday but ive been in and out on James' accident and recovery. last I heard the dogs were cool but what is the finance situation? sounds like hes not gonna be able to work for a long time. is he taken care of or will donations be needed? im sure its been covered i ust didnt have time to find it. will check back or i can be pmd for it

Glad to hear their gett'in ready to move him out to another room!!

That's definately a good sign!!

I visited last night. His new roomie is Elton, a guy who went down on Kent / Des Moines Rd (local road here in a surrounding city of Seattle). It was too wierd having both of those riders in one room, both strapped down, both going through head injury phases.

James is strapped back down. He totally chewed off the thumb portion of his cast. He will be getting a new cast today. He was "grumpy" the whole time I was there and had quite a colorful vocabulary. The only nice thing he said was "please" as he was asking me to unstrap his arm but when I said no he told me to leave because I wasn't doing him any good time good. They had even tried to put a big padded mitten on his hand to keep him from chewing on the cast... didn't work.

I'm sure the nurses are having fun... James and his roommate hit that call button constantly.
