Bentvalve down, car turned in front of him,

do we know where his family is coming in from?  Is it a money thing keeping his mom back?    I know there's enough of us here with frequent flyer miles and points to get anyone flown anywhere.   If we can get the details, maybe we could chip into a pool and get her there quicker?

The BV Fund is up and running in the top of Random.

Feel free to donate there.

My best wishes to him. I have been living with a brain injury for a year. It is no fun. I hope he doesn't end up with any damage. If he does,Ol' Rubb will help him in his recovery,I have learned alot at brain re-hab at my hospital 4 days a week.

Best wishes Rubb.

right but we can't donate miles or points to the cause there

I was just seein if there was something we could do to help get his family there quicker. For example, American has "short hop" flights that are only like 15k miles, others are 25k miles in the US. That would potentially be worth 1-2k depending on where the family needs to fly from. Just thinking outside the box, but I will be sending some coin to the funds as soon as I can access that site (blocked here on this network)

does anyone know if the hospital he is at has a website that you can send messages to him with his name and room number...like postcards...to post up in his room. I bet something like that would be nice too. Just curious...saw on another site (had a great member take a bad fall) the hospital had a way to send messages that would be printed and taken to the room throughout the day. It was helping his wife knowing that so many people were thinking of them. I hope James (BV) heals up and makes it through this just fine!!

Thats a good question Bulldog...

I'll do a little work on that and get back...

That is a good idea Chad. I'll be at the hospital again in a couple hours and ask. At the very least things could be sent to my address and I can personally deliver them since I will be there just about every day until things approve.

Hey..that was easier than I thought!

Here is the site;

http://www.uwmedicine.org/Facilit....fts.htm

Not sure if that makes it a link or not....but anyway. Click on "email a patient" and a box comes up. Type in your message and it will be delivered to his room!

Great idea!!!!

great idea

Anyway we can get a recap on this info so folks can drop him a note? They require at least the first and last name but room number could probably help

Patient's Room Number (if known)
Patient's Name * (first and last)

Room # 255
name; James Johnson

I say we send so many messages that the room is wallpapered with them!!!

Very cool thing for a hospital to have... Sent one off.

I sent a message also... I'll probably be the one reading it to him...

I went to see him on my lunch. I got funny looks when I left and was making my way through the parking garage...

I was strong last night when I saw him. I couldn't be today, I hated crying next to him and as I left.

Last night he looked good, today... more swollen... everywhere. Both hands, feet, definitely the eyes... made me very sad to see him. He was so drugged today that he had no reaction to me. I did take a peek under his blanket and gown too... no not at that body part... but to see chest/collar bone area and his legs. His right thigh is pretty messed up. Eric should be there right now actually and I will see him again tonight and through out the weekend.

I am in the process of moving to 1/2 block from the sands of Alki beach. This is a bitter-sweet thing to me because the first place I met James and finally got to talk one-on-one with him was at a bike show at Alki beach. I told him I will see him every day, so even if it is hard for me, I will go and talk to him and pass on well wishes.

When MJN is out of town, I'll do my best to keep you guys updated.

Thanks for the update Cherie. It is never easy to see someone in that condition.

He is gonna get better, but he will need our continued support...
