Any more recent purchase price reports? I've been feelin' out the local dealers and some of 'em actually want as much for an '07 as for an '08!?!?!?!

Got mine in Romney West VA Romney Cycles 10,300 took me about 2 hrs to get there paid MD tax when I regsitered it but still saved alot of money

There was a Black/Orange on the floor today at Bright Powersports on Dix in Lincoln Park. (313)382-1220 Ask for Scott. He matched Honda Toledo East price for me last December on a Blk/Gray($11,399 OTD including tax).

FYI: I've contacted about 20 dealers in the DC Metro area, including Romney Cycles in WV. Romney is definitely the best price but I've gotten one other offer to beat their price. In general, due to the time of year (riding season is full on) and a plenty of interest in the bike, it seems that dealers aren't generally working with price on Hayabusa's. I've had dealers quote me MSRP as the starting point with OTD cost of close to $14K!!! I've had several quotes around $12,500 OTD and that seems to be the middle of the road offer. I've also had a couple of quotes come between $11,500 and $12,000 from more motivated dealers at months end. Bottom line, it seems that there's a handful dealers nationwide that are offering GREAT deals but the vast majority of dealers are either simply offering average deals or selling at a premium (full MSRP). Chances are that if you want a good deal you either wait until the riding season/demand cools in the fall/winter or you contact one of the dealers mentioned in this thread that have been offering the great deals.

Anyone down in the central TX area have any ideas of where to go to get the best deal? I have been told $11999 before tax and title plus a $300 credit towards accessories (looking for the Orange and Black busa). Need to know what is a reasonable amount to accept without looking like an idiot at the dealership. Don't want to be screwed either. Any guidance would be great, never bought a new bike from a dealership, prior bikes have been used and bought from private sellers. Thanks
