Best price on a NEW GEN II

Congrats on all your bikes! I'm in the market for an 09. Hopefully they will offer a Limited Ed. I'm overseas right now and wont be back till August. Hopefully they will be out not too far after that. I'm sure i'll have to drive to get it tho. Congratz on all your bad @$$ bikes!

Would most of you say that $11,100 OTD is a good deal? I know it's not the best deal out here, but am I still walking getting a good deal in your opinions?

Well I got mine for $11,625 OTD that includes $300 in SC taxes and tag and title. So yeah that sounds like a good deal to me.

has anyone found the best OTD price on a 08 busa in southern california? specifically los angeles. i've called about 20 places and most quoted a rediculous 15000-16000... HELL NO! theres this one place that quoted me 12299 OTD with a free weekend getaway to laughlin nevada 3 days 2 nights...this was at bert's mega mall. but theyre just trying to beat the original quote of LA cycle's 12299 OTD. black is my color of choice.

bike alone was 12,299 otd but i included jacket, helmet, gloves, extended warrenty, gap insurance for grand total 14,203.93 financed under suzuki's 7.95% financing.

Shop else where!!! I did many times, bought most of my bikes that way! Hampton Roads area will rip you off!!! I know I use to work for the dealers for 13years as a technician and still couldn't get a deal!!!

Smith Powersports gave me a great deal @ 10,800. That includes delivery to my door. Not only did I get a great deal, but I also met some nice people. Also I will have to pay Georgia state taxes. But this is still a lot cheaper than local dealers. If you decide to purchase, ask for Fred in Sales. I have spoken to both Fred and Charles(owner) many times and they are always courteous.

Haha... I work at a dealership and some of your OTD prices are FoS! Stop posting BS numbers. The only way ypu can approach a wholesale price with a dealer is either you're an emloyee, the dealer is going oob or they have a whole craploada stock of Busa's or you're leaving out the fact the OTD price isn't including tax cuz ur a tax free state. Some of these numbers I've seen cut into what it takes a dealer to get the Busa in their inventory. Dealers won't sell for a loss on a flagship bike like the busa.

Do your research fellas. Not all dealers are out to bend u over. I have searched the internet, called many dealers and also researched cycletrader.com. I found a great price and I have proof. Smith Powersports has had the same price listed on cycletrader.com since at least October. There are many dealers that list a certain low price on the internet and another price for people who don't do their homework. Da** do your homework Kid!!!!

2008 GSX-1300R Hayabusa

List Price:  $11999
Dealer Cost:  $10185

Dealer cost price includes a $225 freight charge for shipping from the manufacturer to the dealership.
Assembly Cost:  $50  per Suzuki dealer price sheet
Each dealership has its own method of figuring the actual cost of assembly and preparation for sale.

Ready to Sell Cost:  $10235

Dealer Holdback:  This Suzuki has 3% (of list price) dealer holdback.

Holdback money is paid to Suzuki dealers in February for units sold between July 1 and December 31 and in September for units sold between January 1 and June 30.  Dealers must pay Suzuki the full "Dealer Cost" price and wait 1 to 6 months after selling the machine to receive their dealer holdback.

Wholesale Incentives: none for this model

Retail Incentives:  none for this model

The "Ready to sell cost" is the cost of the machine with NO PROFIT to a dealer. Dealers do not stay in business very long by selling machines for no profit.
Many dealers charge additional fees for "Freight and Setup" over and above the selling price of the machine.  Add the "Selling Price" to the "Freight and Setup" charges and subtract the "Ready to sell cost" to determine the PROFIT a dealer is asking to make
