We've got a job to do. What cracks me up is the people that yell at us or flip us off when we are going by. It just makes me want to go to where they work and start yelling at them just for doing their job

Never flipped a train off, never seen much point.. I had 3 separate tracks to cross to get to work as a kid and every time I was late, it was like clock work, I would have at least two of them with lines of cars. Some seemed to take more than half an hour. Some things got changed later. I guess someone in an ambulance died and they passed something about the length of the trains running through the town (just what I heard) but did not seem as though they took as long to go through.

I grew up around trains, actually had a set of tracks really close to my house, if train was off schedule, I would wake up in the middle of the night. Was used to the sound of it coming through at certain time. For last 7 years have not been near any type of tracks. Heading back to my parents once, I remember my son seeing a train the first time. He was so excited. Cool job to have. Seems as though job security is pretty good as well. With the prices on the rise of goods, trains are the only means to keep prices sort of stable. Lot more environmentally safe and cost effective the trucks

I lived in Germany and those trains can keep a schedule to the minute. We can't even make of an affords me means of transportation.
