Big winter project under way.

Im trying to build an engine to handle power to a new level and im looking for new ideas. One Idea im thinking is reduce rotating mass by butting aluminum rods in by BME. BME makes rods that hold up to unlimited hp in dragsters and the make rods for us to and cost less than carillo's.

Im looking in to knife cutting the crank too. Who does this at a good price.

Im going to be posting some pics of my build and will have some questions like why did the oneway bearing that the starter goes to on the crank. Not sure the real name but it turned blue under heat. It is the part on the crank that is spun buy the starter threw a few gears.

Any one take out the counterbalance?

If you have ideas for power and speed spit them out. Even the little things. Im wanting to play with the big boys in LSR next summer but I need more than just power.
THanks

has anyone played around with a total loss charging system where you remove the stator and the rotor off the end of the crank. that's shaving 5+ lbs. off the weight of the crank. i almost did that on a street bike but didn't like the fact of push starting it if i was out riding. and no charger around.

It will have the stock bore we have decide and We are looking into aluminum rods. May knife edge crank and balance it the pull out the balancer to save hp. Pistons for sure. The head was sent off 2 weeks ago to be ported and ss valves put in and cams. It should be stout. We'll be adding some serious boost to it to create to power we will need to break some big record at Maxton and Loring. Does anyone know if the stock computer could handle this by flashing it. Any opinion on traction control?

Are you sticking with the N2O or going TURBO...?

hey man...I can't do it for free..but I can help with parts some but that bike has to be tuned here and set up exactly as I say, nothing can be altered, so it ever fails its my fault..LMK Also you will run our one decal with no others...

build a monster.

I believe that is EXACTLY what he has in mind~!~

All the money you'll spend wont be worth it I would think. Just slap a turbo on it and be done with it.

On the GEN II there has to be other modifications to hold the motor together from what I understand...a turbo might do ok on the street under light power...but who's gonna do that~?~ He's going to be off road and WOT~!~ :beerchug:

off subject, I'll send you a PM

In most lsr organizations there is a class for gas and one for fuel. The fuel can be anything including nitrous. The nitrous can be added to the blown class too.

Im trying to do a little home work tonight and want to know if anyone knows anything about the stock pistons made by ART. All i can find online is that is the #1 piston co. in Japan and makes them for all there vehicles.
