Smithabusa and Mr Brown as well as others at this point I just wanna say .
THANKS..
Because with your help and advice I used a 'magic wire' special tool...
..to jump harness as you see and save myself $95 bucks in Diagnosis fees which is what the dealer told me it would cost to do.
Below is pic of white harness on right side of bike under driver seat.
Remove cap on it not just the little rubber plugs on one end.
THE WHOLE CAP unclips from it to expose open tabs to contact for jump.
Start bike, FI light came on , then it showed code on dash .
At this point I am going to take airbox off again as I did the other night when I checked plugs. I am going to double check all connections and make sure I did not cause this problem myself . If I find nothing obvious I am still going to investigate the TPS area that os taped to make sure all is well.
Question: 1
As you say Smithabusa fix coil and see. By saying 'fix' I assume you mean get a new one ?
Before I do that to make sure it is the #4 coil could I do a 'laymens' test and swap it to another cyclinder then see if bike throws code for that cyclinder that now has supposed bad coil ?
By doing that would it and should it narrow it down to that part ?
Question: 2
Smithabusa, Mr Brown was of opinion bar in the left of C code was in INCORRECT position for -
key on, engine off- in first pic of codes above.
He was a little unsure of this on GENII. I see in manual it talks about this on page 1C-4 , TP sensor adj page.
Can you advise on this ?
