Bureau Of Motor Vehicles Makes me want to commit hate crimes

Here in Va. we have to pay property tax which I think is just a way for them to get money out of you.

I had to "think" for a minute because we lived in Virginia for almost ten years and that was the cheapest it ever was for annual registration. Then I remembered we had the active duty military thing going and had to send end the old Leave and Earnings Statement every year. Virginia citizens get ripped once a year having to pay the personal property tax on the vehicle. Do hinge your "city sticker" on whether or not you paid the tax? I think the last couple of years we were in Hampton Roads most of the cities were getting away from the city sticker thing.

They are all the same...Rolls Royce or Yugo...it makes no difference:)
Yep, when i lived in tn. i think cars were 15 and trucks were 10. Not sure about that , It's been a long time but i do know it didn't matter what year or what kind it was cars were all the same and trucks were the same. Georgia however is not so kind. Buy a new vehicle and you will pay the price in taxes.

mine are cheaper because i got a better deal on my bike....

You did? Not sure about that one. I paid 9 grand out the door.

I was gonna do a personalized plate that said "pwn3d" but after being raped for the 250, i decided not to be raped for another $74. Besides, they wouldnt even give it to me until July of 2010 anyway.

hum that's funny because North End quoted me 10.5 on your bike about a week before you bought it(i still have the qout)
well we both bought them in 2007 9.800 out the door and I got the faster color a year newer...LOL and I know north end didn't fill up your gas tank or do your first 2 oil changes for free like max pitts did...and how do i know that...because the head mechanic at north end rides with me.
:moon:
but at any rate regardless of what we paid for them doesn't matter, why the hell do your plates cost so much? did you not renew them on time? did you pay for more then 12 months?
what did you pay for last years plates?

That's so funny, my Mom and I were talking about that a couple of weeks ago. She said they did do away with the county/city stickers. No taxes, no sticky, no sticky and the cops pull you over and you get a fine on top of it. Yep, what a racket.
