Busa Bash III

we should really decide if we are going to try and do a group meal/eating/cooking thing and if so, who's gonna bring what. I dont think with this many folks coming, many riding in especially, that we need everyone to bring something, maybe just contribute a few dollars. I think the biggest things are going to be the grills/chairs and then maybe someone can make a Sams/Costco/BJs run for bulk stuff?[/QUOTE]

I'm open to whatever is decided but I don't plan to bring much with me. I'd rather just buy whatever is needed in Robbinsville.

just a note.....if anyone cant make the Busa Bash because of not being able to afford the hotel accomodations and thats the only reason from stopping you from coming...then my wife and I have decided we have an extra bedroom we can extend to a husband and wife...or couple of guys if they dont mind sharing the bed...lol its all cool...just send me an email and let me know....Mick

Probably bringin'the backup bike with me. Trying to get it ready

Might put a pipe on it before bringing it up....maybe a carb too. Should be fun in the parking lot at the Phillips. It will probably fly down the hill between the buildings- might have to carry it up though.

It is official, my son is not coming along to ride the dragon and I have a double room at Phillips so if there is a non-smoker that needs a room let me know thru these posts and we can make arrangements. I will not be arriving until late Thursday, 14th around 10-11 pm. Sure hope the weather holds out, the long range forecast I've seen looks like rain for a good part of the weekend, do any of you local (close by) riders have any clue what we might get, if your forecast (guess)is as good as ours in DC we may luck out or have a foot of snow.

Fireman, you want me to carry some stuff up there for you?  I'm planning to arrive thurs evening sometime so instead of you having to carry a ton of shid on  your bike I can just put it in the truck.

 Let me know
Zuk, Thanks for the offer, but the trip to the gap is a test to see just how my bags work, for some other events that I'm going to this year. I have not nailed down how I will be going up there as of yet. I want to take a scenic route, but you will probably take I-40 all the way there. I know that I will be taking I-40 back from the gap, and just might jump in behind you on the way back. Thanks once again for the offer to haul my stuff up with you. I might take you up on it on the way back. If you had room on your trailer, I would chip in with the gas up there........

sounds good fireman, I might have some room, just depends on the load of the trailer, never put two busas on there before

more than happy to haul whatever though.

on the topic of food stuffs, I'm all for making a local run if thats what the group wants to do, I guess I was more pointing out that if we need grills, chairs, etc we should figure that out before we get up there
wink.gif
also a Sams type run would probably save some $$ for bulk type stuffs

Hey folks...I'm gonna be cutting out of here in the wee hours on the morning of wednesday the 13th...riding my Busa solo from Port Saint Lucie, FL up Floridas Turnpike to I-75 into southeast Atlanta and try to make T.W.O. (about 650 miles north of me) by sundown wednesday evening...then wake whenever and run 180 up 129 and on into Robbinsville/Philips Motel by mid-day thursday....and I have two requests....

1. That anyone who may be thinking of RIDING (not driving) up themself that might happen to be along the way feel free to PM/Email and join me and....

2. Any good samaritans who may be driving up from my way with truck or trailer that may feel so inclined???...render a cell phone # to my PM mailbox which would only be used in the event of a roadside emergency...helluva thing to ask I know but it looks like I'm riding up alone and "just in case"...no commitments necessary...it's just a mental security blanket kinda thing. LOL!!!

and yes...I'm getting excited!!! L8R, Bill

Edit PS: BTW...these are "dry countys"...I'm thinking Cruzann Single Barrel for back at the motel after the bikes are parked..so...this is a BYOC event...(Bring Your Own Coke) LOL!!!
