just found this site tailofthedragon.com. my hubby and i just traded our TL1000 for an 05 busa and are going to gatlinburg next weekend for the rod run. would love to ride by and say hi. i love the "dragon".

I think somwhere in this thread is mention of a schedule to be posted, and copies possibly being available at the Phillips motel & CROT. Top of this page.........Seems most of us will be staying at the Phillips'. My group will arrive 4-14 am. Two Busas, a Blackbird, a Katana & a Ninja. Towing with a blue Blazer & a Denali. Look us up if you like.

there will be a schedule posted for review/comments here shortly and once thats settled there will be maps with times, etc left at the Phillips Motel desk and at the CROT for anyone that wants to meet up with us. If we agree to a schedule we'll try to stick with it as much as possible, however things like lunch at hooters (i think thats what we are doing on sat) will likely be +/- 30mins of the schedule listed just due to the nature of having a group eating lunch.....oh yeah and the fact that its hooters and they aint the swiftest service

general plans are to ride the dragon on Friday then either cruise over to Cherokee via some the "baby dragon" loop or hit the skyway or both, depending on time/crowds on the dragon. Sat. is to ride the dragon early, then head towards the skyway mid morning (10-11ish) ride the skyway to telico, then up to Alcoa to Hooters, then back down either the skyway or dragon (most likely) to the CROT/Phillips. Then a cookout at Phillips Sat night (possibly friday as well, maybe not) then everyone is on their own for Sunday (probably another dragon run in the AM though).

How does that sound to everyone? I mean I'll get some firmer times around it, but sound like a basic/general schedule for the Fri/Sat riding? Please chime in on the variables such as the baby dragon loop to cherokee vs skyway or both on Friday and the route back from Hooters on Sat. (skyway back or dragon).

How do folks feel about doing their own thing Friday night and/or spending some time in Cherokee (dinner/casino) and then do a cookout Sat evening where everyone that can will show up and eat together? Obviously we'll probably be cookin breakfast each morning or something, but thinkin with this many folks a good ole fashion cook out could be a lot of fun

So lets hear it, everyone thats attending or more than 75% sure, chime in here with ideas or approvals

we'll be riding in on a black/gray busa. i'll try to find you guys. and if anyone has the weekend schedule info., please let me know. thanks.

i'll be on an 05. i simply love it. we rode the dragon last weekend and it was s-w-e-e-t! i liked it a lot better than the TL1000.

eh, not gonna get into that whole hooters debate... it was suggested back on some page in the lower teens and seems to be in the right location for the "loop" .... and I'd wager its like the ones around here ... very biker friendly and with the outside eating area we can "observe" the bikes

So what do folks think about that proposed schedule/time line/events?
