Complete and utter noob.

He told you the front end doesn't really cum up more than an inch or two but that isn't so,especially if you put the stock swing arm back on! Respect the throttle and be safe or you'll flip it over and be wondering what the heck just happened.
ive never had the front wheel come off the ground, I guess I havnt launched it hard enough, or maybe my 6'1 215lbs a$$ has something to do with it

of the org just see if you can get it checked out first before buying it could be worth your time

Well, looks like you're already hooked on the Busa. My advice to you still stands at the following in chronological order:

1) Take the MSF Beginner Riders Course no matter what

2) Buy an SV650 and put a few thousand road miles behind you to get your bearings straight in all types of traffic conditions in all 4 seasons

3) Trade up for whatever you can afford

Well i am going to take the Beginner course no matter what before i start riding in traffic, maybe even the advance course so i can get a few pointers with the bike. In order to get used to the bike im going to ride late at night throughout the course of the week, with minimal traffic. Im already browsing ebay for seat covers, bar ends, levers, other random ****, and i dont even have the bike. Went and looked at gear yesterday, god dang its expensive at a dealer.

Gear is not really cheap no matter wear you go. Check out newenough.com, also I would like to recommend a SHOEI RF1000 if you buy a single color you can get them off ebay brandy new for around 225. High quality helemt for a reasonable price. Additionally refering back to your original "I don't know jack about bikes" make sure you got good tires/brakes on that bad boy. If your not sure post pics and the board will let you know where your at. Congrats on the busa. Be carefull, I know you will be in the begining cause it is prtty unreal at how incredable these bikes are but a couple months from now when your more comfortabel is when you really have to be careful. Good luck, keep the rubber on the road.

Welcome to the Org. And.......

Well.....im sure most are thinking the same thing i am, im just gonna say it. Your gonna wreck it man!! I do have to ask; in the begining of this post why did you place and emphasis on owning your own house? I can understand stating your age, but it sounds to me as though you had to say "own my house" to justify some sort of responsibility. I think the montra about stuff not feeling right really applies here. Owning a house (congratulations) dosent neccesarily increase your responsibility, promising yourself to be mature on this bike is a dim thought after 2 days. Titleing your post "complete and utter noob" to reduce the flame burn you knew you were gonna get was a good tactc though. And saying it yourself "I KNOW JACK ABOUT BIKES" i gotta tell ya that since you dont know jack, ill let ya know one thing about a busa, EVERYTHING IS EXSPENSIVE. Add about 100 dollars to what you think something would cost and that should get you in the area. PS have fun in FL with that bike.

None the less, your gonna ride your own ride and do as you please. Rubber side should stay down.

Welcome and Don't go buying stuff for your bike just yet! Get use to it. I simple mistake will cost you $1,000+ easy.

You can be the most responsible rider and still have a mishap/accident. A course is great, but they can't teach your brain how to react in a giving situation. Time does. IMO leave the bike way it is. It's not gonna make a difference. Why be concerned with it being to much if you weren't concerned with a bike like that being your first?

When you get to where you start riding with people.... BY all means stay in your riding ability. They seem to be pulling away... Let them! Don't let them play with your life cause you are the only one who has something to lose. Good riders will always stick with the little guy or let you catch up after they had a little brief fun.

When you get to where you riding in traffic... Assume that worse can happen. Meaning that the car will make the right hand turn in front of you etc... Remember you only have one head light and some little old lady might think it's just a street light or something cause they reaching that age of poor judgment.

Not trying to scare you or sound harsh. Is just that would like to see you posting here for a long time. Once again welcome! Read the many threads on busa for first bike there is alot of good info in them. Is a family here and they all don't mind answering questions. only stupid question is one that isn't asked. Though the "Search" feature of this forum can save a lot of time.

yeah, me pulling the own a house card was to help show that im not the average 21 year old guy. If like to think that ive got my head on straight. And the the title was to keep flamers at bay, however i dont really see that many (if any) of you guys are. Ill have to see if there is somewhere i can try those helmets on at. After putting a couple in yesterday i realize that not everybodys head is the same shape, lol.

Thanks for the support guys.

Better check on the price of insurance before you do anything, you might get a suprise.

Dude I'm 37 own a house, have a great dog, Wonderful girlfriend, stable job etc. Believe myself to be pretty layed back in all aspects of my life but I'll admit the right wrist gets the better of me sometimes. I don't know if I can remember what being 21 feels like anymore but I'll just say that you sometimes become a bit more daring behind that helmet and that bike can get you into trouble real freakin fast. Note to Self: Stop acting stupid.

Anyways, best of luck in whatever you decide, but as everyone else has said, Ride Safe.

Best way to keep in check on respecting your ride is to take the visor off your helmet, wrap a towel around it so you don't scratch it and then run into a brick wall full speed. Remember how it feels and be thankful you just survived a 5-7 mph crash! HAHA!

P.S. If anyone does this please post Video of it!

Congrats your gonna love it if your gonna look for anything on ebay frame sliders and swing arm sliders are gonna be a good be a good first buy not that you plan on putting her down but you migh end up doing something stupid like not putting the kickstand all the way down right or a slow turn on gravel that goes into sand ... mainly cause thats how i dropped mine doing stupid mindless careless things that you get used to and don't even think about
