Damn the busa is in a little trouble.

What would all of u like to see done most for the Busa...some say let it die, but i say hellz no.
Make 'em turn?

Hehehe... Just kiddin'...

I'd say a weight loss program is in order for the big girl. Dropping some pounds and centralizing the weight more in the chassis would go a long way toward winnin' me back. As it is, the busa just feels top heavy, and heavy in general to me compared to the litres.

Fug more power... It's got more than I need for street riding as is. Let the suckas that feel they need more power spend their money on power adding mods. Just make mine handle better.
biggrin.gif
Hey BT, I hear you....but are you going to tell me that your 10 isn't a bit more top heavy with you in the saddle then me on my busa. It's all about the rider isn't it? Luv to take the busa to the track and hand you your arss!

hehehe...just kidding bro.

now stfu or click the little button that says PM if you really feel the need to debate every thing I've said and want to continue your stupidity into infinity.

 I'll bet you'd rather carry on off-forum...

Seems to me that you've found yourself caught with your pants down and your willy in a knothole.

The bottom line is that you not only dismissed BT's opinion outright, you insulted him in doing so. As someone who's apparently attempting to portray himself as a senior member you should (i) know better than to be such a pompous tool, AND, (ii) have more patience, especially considering your recognition of BT as a less experienced rider!

The fact of the matter is that under the most experienced rider on the board the Busa is still what the Busa is - heavier, longer, less centralized in design and top heavy in comparison with the current liter class machines available. And as long as we're appealing to consensus, I don't see much arguement about that...

Lastly, you admit that what BT said was meant as a joke, however your reply to him was not meant as a joke, so the 'stupidity' isn't mine, scooter, it's yours...

Feeling the splinters?

Steve

I must confess:

Pure_ego good for you, your entitled to your response...I did however, see BT just kidding comment...and actually took the post the sameway you did. Hense my post above. "Just kidding Bro" Yea, sorry BT my comment was out of line and I too hid behind the "Just Kidding Bro" comment.

BT, you are entitled to any comment that you please, on the other hand don't get your panties in a wade when it draws unwanted attention.

Pease brothers

BT basically takes a stab at the busa any time he gets the chance. Then backs up and hides behind the little smiley icons that are supposed to make it appear to be a joke. I say this because I know now that BT doesn't care what we all think of him because we're just a chat room.. he's only posted that about 8 million times also.. ..

for the record.. BT I wasn't really worrying about your image, or percieved value or whatever that crap your talking about is, was, or will be after I posted it. I stated in the first post I wasn't trying to belittle, or insult you. I was just stating my opinion about that post, and the many other posts you have about the same thing.

I was simply voicing my opinion about you having the experience necessary to determine what bike is capable of doing what things whether or not your "joking". IN MY OPINION.. you don't have the experience and let my opinion be known.

now.. should I put a smiley here to hide behind and pass it off as a joke.. ? I'm not like you. I'm going to say what I think about it and leave it at that.

if you, and whoever reads this doesn't understand what I was trying to say now I give up.

any more questions regarding it will just have to be PMed to me.
Oh, now I'm slashing the busa and "hiding" behind smilies... Jesus man, don't you get it? I really am KIDDING when I "jab" at the busa. Just like when I post calling RSD a skater fag, or when I jab at Rev, or WWJD, or whoever. I'd think that you've been around long enough to not only know my riding experience level, but also my sense of humor.
rock.gif
Evidently the only thing that stuck with you is my experience level. The humor is obviously lost on you. I do occasionally give honest opinions on things I like better about the 10, but when I make one line comments like, "Make 'em turn..." I'm fuggin' JOKING! Geesh...
drooling3.gif

I ain't hidin' behind anything. I still love busas. I want to own another one eventually as a second bike. I even defend them occasionally on the 10 board when I think they're gettin' a bad rap. MOST everyone here knows that I'm kiddin' when I jab at you guys, or make a funny comment about the busa. However some, like you, get all defensive and just totally miss the humor. You take offense and feel the need to defend the busa when it really isn't being attacked. Folks do joke on the internet, man. You can say you didn't get defensive... but why else would you feel the need to call my skill level in question in response to a joke I made, followed by a serious opinion on what I'd like to see changed on the busa? I believe you when you said you intended no offense, and none is taken. However, I still say you've got me all wrong. There is NO ill will in any of my comments about the busa, regardless of whether or not you've convinced yourself otherwise.

Simply put, the easiest target you had to come back at me on after I supposedly insulted the busa's handling was my experience level and you took a shot at it. That's not new. Been done here before. As you've seen, and said, I don't dispute my experience level. I'm proud of how far I've come, but I'm still on the low end of average at best in my own head. Yeah, you have a point. I'm still a rookie. I just don't get why you felt the need to call me out like this based on my humorous comment. Well, it was intended to be humorous anyway. Whether you believe that or not really doesn't matter to me at this point. Simply put, you either didn't get the humor, or you chose to believe it was not in humor and that I'm hiding my supposed inner hatred for the busa behind humor and smilies (puuuhhhlease!!!) so you could justify defending the busa.

Whatever man... I'm done with this thread. For the record, no hard feelings on my end. It's just a discussion as far as I'm concerned. You've simply taken me the wrong way and there's nothing I can do about that. I'm not "hiding" behind anything though. If you wish to carry on with this discussion you can follow your own advice and hit the PM button.

We still love you "BT" even though you ride one of those old antique junk cow's

nuttin but luv for ya BT, but I still say you're trying to convince yourself you didn't make a mistake LOL. Just JKing.

Okay where is the love fellas, opinions have been voiced and isn't that the great thing about this country. We can have them w/o threat of decapitation or public flogging (even though some deserve it LOL). Sometimes we waste too much time trying to make points noone other than ourselves is going to grasp, when we could be riding or shopping for mods or doing whatever it is we do. Be blessed fellas and keep the rubber side down.

All I would ask is that they cane the person(s) in charge of the color schemes.
beerchug.gif
Must agree there, especially after 2005!
I didn't like the 05's at first, but they are growing on me. I like the way they do their colors, you get four choices every year and each year they are different, except for maybe the blue/silver, it keeps repeating, but at least it's a little different scheme each time. I don't think there is a stock color that if someone gave it to me, I would immediately repaint it.

I take that back, I would likely repaint that pink 2004 model.

Just my 2 pennies worth, but I bought mine just for the reputation the bike had. The last bike I was on was a 650 Honda Nighthawk, and I sold it in 1987. So my expierience level is pretty low compared to everyone else on the board. But, I think the bike handles much better than anything else I've been on ( probably doesn't mean much ) it's got more power than most people REALLY need, and it handles 2-up with out making the wife beg to get off.
Besides....................I like the name!!!!
