I found a little logistical challenge in this so here is what I need. Because I dont have a way to match up screen names here to realnames from paypal I need you guys that want a change to pm or email me your real name and screen name and what you want your title changed to. I will repond back with instructions on how to access and use the webmail (username and pass) and that all the changes are complete.

I will begin making the changes for you folks tonight...

Don't you get to change this anyway once you reach 2500 posts? Not that you wouldn't donate because of that but I think I remember Revlis telling me that this was the post number it started at.

Ok so you should now see that there is a new member group called Donating Member, on the main page those that have donated are green on the list.. In the post those that have donated have a new little line with balls rotating around it as an indicator they have donated while everyone else still has the rings. The email has been set up for those that PM'd me, make sure that you change your passwords when you first log in. Decals are on the way.......... Some titles have been changed and others can't decide what they want to be.. I was thinking of raising the number for a member to be able to change the Title from 2500 to 4000 what do you all think?

Hmm... OK folks - I'm a big nerd, so here comes a nerdish comment - brace yourselves.
National Public Radio runs exclusively off of sponsors and donations - and the bulk of their budget is through memebr donations. They run quarterly membership drives, and members can choose a one time or a recurring monthly donation that repeats for a year. Additionally, there were goodies available at certain levels. The lower level donation was just a donation - nothing special, but higher levels got goodies (T-shirts, mugs, stickers, etc.).

I don't know how fancy you want to get, but it seems like a quarterly membership drive might be a good compromise between an annual event and a monthly charge. I would be afraid that an annual drive won't generate enough budget to make it worthwhile, and a monthly donation may feel too much like a charge for use. With a quarterly drive, you can set a goal to count toward that is not too daunting.
