DWI Sat...

Just sucks all the way around,

DWI in NY is a toughie, but I guess it's gotten that way just about everywhere.

No harm, no foul,

Learn, pay, move on.

Maybe you'll be in shape if the NY area ride ever comes about

Yeah, I'm basically screwed. Gonna b 6 mo revoked, no conditional, no driving even to work, bout 1000 in fines. When it's over I have to get my permit and take a road test like I'm 16 yrs old again, not to mention my lawyer fee's
Got pulled over for 65 in a 45 which is bullshit cause even cars go about 60 on this wide three lane road.   Found out this State Trooper just hates sportbikes. When he pulled me over he was to the left of me not behind, and forcing me off to the sholder.  I guess guys have dusted his ass in the past.  He was even making comments like "well, you look like you do pretty good for yourself driving a fancy new bike and all".  I was comming from a friends baby's christening had a  few too many.(please spare me the lectures, i know I f ed up).  Any way, just felt like sharing. Be carful out there everyone, We're not the most liked bikers out there,  Lot of haters in law enforcment.  And to think I was less than a mile from home where I was headed!  No more drinking for me bro's, on a vehical or off, ain't worth it.

been just over 2 years since my busa dui. pulled over for 64 in 40 (was going 120 just a minute ago too).....

one block from home.

lost license for 90 days, home monitoring for 3 months, final cost about 3500 bucks.

full insurance went to $2400/yr on the busa alone.
let me say it was a bad deal, and I feel for ya... but ya play on the wrong side of the field, its gonna bite you back.

next worse feeling is totalling your bike and seeing it in the garage everyday knowing you aint gonna be able to ride it til ya fix it and takes 6 months....... but thats a whole diff story! ;)

Hmmm...

Drinking + Sportbike + (65 in 45) = Dumb arss in my book.

Sorry for the bluntness, but, get real man.  To look at it any other way or to point at the cop is just denial.  It's probably the same logic that lead you to do it in the first place.

P.S.  If you need someone to ride your bike and keep your oil fresh while you're taking your life lesson let me know.  Luckily, I've had the good sense to ride responsibly without legal guidence.
Must be nice to be a person like you who never makes mistakes. I appreciate your concern. Thanks. Just for you info though, I consider this board sort of a bunch of friends who help each other, so your wise ass comments about riding my bike over the winter because you've had the good sense to ride responsibly just makes me think that you are an ass hole wise ass. (OH, and I'M also so sorry for the bluntness too)

I have experienced it first hand...Cops will treat Sportbikes differently than Cruisers...If a Cruiser is pulled over, the cop is usually cool with the Rider...If a Sportbike is pulled over, the Cops automatically treat you as if you are a criminal ...like any chance you get you will either run or stunt...For the guys that run from the Cops, you may get a way with a ticket, but you make it bad for the other Riders out there...

Drinking and speeding is not a mistake.  It's being a dumb-arss.  If it happened to my best friend I would say, "Dude, that was a real dipsh*t thing to do."  Okay, then, have it your way...

Honey, I'm so sorry that bad policeman pulled you over.  I'm going to call his mother right now and tell her he's got to stop bullying you guys when you've been drinking.  urrrr... that bad policeman.

I do not believe that in a second. it is what the individuals look like. I have been pulled over a couple of times. I had some very interesting conversations with the State Patrol, and have been send on my way with a warning. I think it is more an age thing then anything. I do agree with the general target sometimes, but I think it is age based. Plus lets face it how fast can you really go on a cruiser.
