Eventually, I’ll be right...

That's what is called the categorical dismissal. In high school debate class it was a tactical maneuver used when you simply don't have any facts to respond with. It never won points and was the equivalent of throwing in the towel. You haven't responded to my points for awhile, so I assume you're caught between looking increasingly foolish trying to justify Trump and admitting you voted for the worse president in recent memory.

Yes its the same 3 libs here calling out the BS, but the Trump alliance is imploding around you my friend. So now you need to decide do I throw away the country for a man whose only allegiance is his pocket.
I've thrown facts at you many times with articles. You dismiss them basically doing the same thing you accuse me of. I could go around and around with you and others on here until I am blue in the face!

Hey, if I am blue in the face does that make me a minority? :D

If I say no i'll be considered lying , and If yes ill be _ _ _ _ _ ? I've made no judgement , and seek more information . Media can portray events how they desire viewers to see a picture .
You know where I work in Houston ( every ward , and hood ) IT would be a blessing to see the efforts of this event turned to youths future .
There is one fact that is the cause of death . Addiction . While its viewed as death by Chauvin the real cause is a misguided life with drugs.

Now this is my view.

It makes you capable of being embarrassed, which apparently Trump supporters aren't. :beerchug:

Where did you get this?

”They removed him because he was hurting himself. cant recall if it was head into glass, or with arms. They wanted to protect him by cuffing him and putting him back in so he wouldnt be able to continue injuring himself. Yes, I did watch the whole vid too.”

What ‘whole’ video? I saw the first one when he was walked over to the building and seated on the sidewalk and the one from the view point in front of the cop car, rear door open blocking the view inside and only showing some sort of scrap between the cops and Floyd. Then the video ends and the next video, he’s on the ground with Chauvin’s knee on his upper back. BTW, what academy were you taught to put your knee into a suspect’s neck?
Let's look at some facts that lead to Floyd's unfortunate passing.

Fact: If he hadn't used illegal drugs he would be alive.
Fact: If he hadn't passed counterfeit money he would be alive.
Fact: If he had fought with the officers he would be alive.
The officer leaning on his neck is inexcusable, and all the officers involved are going to be held accountable by the justice system.

We will see (or have seen) the start of a cold war between China and most of the world....

If Hong Kong can muster strength, there could be an internal civil war which would be the opening of many eyes in the world when they see how China handles that...

The sooner the world weens themselves off Chinese products, the better, The US basically pulled China's rear out of the fire during WW2 and moved towards the 20th century....now they've got too big for their britches and are striving for world dominance.

Why we are coddling a country who has zero tolerance for human rights and is a communist regime is beyond me.

I agree, Trump has it right when he said we have to bring industry back to the US.

Ok I'll Bite:

Pandemic: The first shot across the bough was Legionnaires Disease in 1976. While this did not rise to pandemic levels it did make it clear that a mysterious virus (LD was bacterial) could wipe out humanity in reality, not just in the movies. Bird Flu, HINI, and Ebola followed and made it clear that disease was a more clear and present danger than nukes. Obama made an infectious disease task force a cabinet level position, with the task of monitoring the world for outbreaks to trigger the earliest responses possible. Obama even called COVID would hit and said it could be 5 years or 20 years but it will happen (5 years was 2019).

Trump dismantled this group when he got into office, simply because Obama did it. Worse than that, Trump refused to take the many warnings he had seriously and did nothing. Even worse, a virus like this takes a national strategy and there is complete disengagement by the federal government. Trump's only concern was restarting the economy, a critical part of his reelection pitch. So without enough testing, without organized tracking, he convinced the people that this is killing black and brown people and ignore it. So out everyone went, without masks and now we are back where we were in April in NY, NY, Had we kept isolating and focused on PPE's and testing, we would be possibly looking at being 80-90% normal now with low infections. If you don't believe that, countries around the world are doing this successfully while we are the 7th worst in the world fighting this virus. Making America Great huh?

While the Dems are not happy this virus has hit, it was inevitable that something would expose this guy's complete incompetence that couldn't couldn't be covered up. There is no spinning the Trump Flu Failure. Its objectively one of the most expensive failures (both in lives and money) by a president in history. So while many will fool themselves by saying Trump would have been a success had it not been for the virus, the truth is Trump has gotten away with a string of ill advised decisions and the virus is the first real challenge to his ability to run the country.

Stock Market: When you look at the stock market its not how high it is as much as how much it has gone up. After Obama's initial rocky start (he was handed a crashing economy), the market headed up for most of his 2 terms. While Trump has seen a market rise for his first term it's been a wild ride. The worse part is these huge swings have been due to silly tweets by the president and erratic economic policy. Bottom line if I got into the market at the beginning of Obama's second term, I would have seen more gains than I would in Trump's first term.

Socialism: It's crazy but the virus is a real time example of why we need to be at least partially socialist in our system. People are going to be wiped out because of the medical bills they incurred due to this virus. It could threaten the banking system again if the mortgage defaults rise again. So much of fighting a threat like a virus require a socialist approach. I'll just leave this here as I could write a book on this topic. Bottom line is we need a certain level of socialism in our system to keep it balanced.

Healthcare: Speaking of Socialism, Trump didn't promise to get rid of healthcare he promised a "better, beautiful system that would cover everyone for less money". He has not in his entire first term offered any detail on this new system, he only keeps working as hard as possible on taking away what little people have. As amazing as it is, in the middle of a pandemic the Trump administration is in court trying to take people's coverage. Amazing.

Trade: Trump is using tariffs because it is the only unchecked power he has to impact our relationships with other countries. He can impose Tariffs with the stroke of a pen, no congressional approvals. It's very destabilizing to the system to play with one aspect of it without a strategic plan. Trump has ruined long time relationships that helped make America the economic power it is. So Trump is willing to be a socialist if it's necessary to quit the people he is screwing (fun, Trump paying the people he is screwing to be quiet). Family farms are destroyed, now they live off a total government handout and failures are way up. It can't get much crazier than this, as the trade deficit has GONE UP under Trump! So all the noise and damage and things are worse. NAFTA was due to be renegotiated anyway, so his claims to forcing that issue are bogus. Those trade deals always have review periods built into the deal.

Fiscal Policy - Debt - GDP: Trump's tax cut was a $1.3 trillion give away that was supposed to push the GDP to 5% and historic sustained highs. Trump has struggled to hit 3% and has even lagged behind Obama's 2.8% in his last term. All of that is from Forbes and Washington Post numbers before the COVID collapse. Trump is running up debt like no one before him. No one has ever run up the debt when the economic was at full tilt. This is playing with fire, as there is no way to stimulate the economy should something like a pandemic cause a problem. Essentially, Trump is running the country like a crazy person with a credit card spending until their limit stops them. Your kids are going to pay for that tax cut and all the wonderful times you're enjoying now, be sure to tell them "Daddy robbed you baby, love you". By almost all criteria, Trumps economic performance is questionable when the consequences are factored in.

I could go on and on . But I think the president has been exposed as an empty suit and most of America has been slapped out of their trance by Trump's incredibly incompetent performance leading the country through a real threat.

This did not make a difference.

Trump saved many many lives by closing the borders early on and was called a racist for doing so.
It was the Doctor Fauci that said masks would not help in the beginning. Also there was a shortage. Obama did not replenish the stock, nor did the NYC Governor.

Trump had a very successful response to the virus considering China and WHO lied about it. His response was better than any Democrat's would have been. Pelosi was in China Town telling people not to worry about the virus after the boarders were closed.

Stock Market
: When you look at the stock market its not how high it is as much as how much it has gone up. It was Trump that made the stocks soar. He did this by lowering regulations, bringing manufacturing back to the US, renegotiating NAFTA and so much more. His pro-business policies were a big part.

Socialism
: It's crazy but the virus is a real time example of why we need to be at least partially socialist in our system. There needs to be temporary help but not permanent. We need to re-open America. There are the stimulus plans that have and are helping people in trouble. The dem governors will not let businesses re-open. The elderly can continue to say home and take all precautions. There is bound to be a negative effect of the nation being shut down for so long.

Healthcare
: Speaking of Socialism, Trump didn't promise to get rid of healthcare he promised a "better, beautiful system that would cover everyone for less money". He has not in his entire first term offered any detail on this new system, he only keeps working as hard as possible on taking away what little people have. As amazing as it is, in the middle of a pandemic the Trump administration is in court trying to take people's coverage. Amazing. He did try early on but the RINO McCain's vote against it made it fail.

Trade:
Trump is using tariffs because it is the only unchecked power he has to impact our relationships with other countries. He can impose Tariffs with the stroke of a pen, no congressional approvals. It's very destabilizing to the system to play with one aspect of it without a strategic plan. Trump has ruined long time relationships that helped make America the economic power it is. So all the noise and damage and things are worse. NAFTA was due to be renegotiated anyway, so his claims to forcing that issue are bogus. Those trade deals always have review periods built into the deal. Ha Ha, no one planned to redo NAFTA except Trump. He did a China Trade deal too but because of Covid19 who knows where it will go. Lowest unemployment in history for all groups.

Fiscal Policy - Debt - GDP
: Trump's tax cut was a $1.3 trillion give away that was supposed to push the GDP to 5% and historic sustained highs. Trump has struggled to hit 3% and has even lagged behind Obama's 2.8% in his last term. All of that is from Forbes and Washington Post numbers before the COVID collapse. Your kids are going to pay for that tax cut and all the wonderful times you're enjoying now, be sure to tell them "Daddy robbed you baby, love you". By almost all criteria, Trumps economic performance is questionable when the consequences are factored in. Obama had 8 years. If not for the virus and with his second term Trump will vastly exceed anything Obama did.

I could go on and on . But I think the president has been exposed as an empty suit and most of America has been slapped out of their trance by Trump's incredibly incompetent performance leading the country through a real threat.

Trump had to do all this while facing the endless RESIST movement, fake news and investigations.
Wow, you must have a lot of time on your hands. I am not going to do research and put down lengthy replies because I will be blue in the face again. My top of head responses are above in bold. Not going to keep getting involved in these back and forth about politics. You have your opinions and I have mine.

Well I felt obligated to respond only because I never have. My opinions of Trump are based on a lot of analysis and looking at pretty easy to find facts, so writing that was an easy thing off the top of my head. Actually take the time to research Trump and you will not be a supporter. He is a scarily incompetent dude my brother.

So anyway, keep the faith brother. Its going to be pretty hard over the next few weeks and you are going to be hiding the fact that you supported him when this is all done. :beerchug:

Let's look at some facts that lead to Floyd's unfortunate passing.

Fact: If he hadn't used illegal drugs he would be alive.
Fact: If he hadn't passed counterfeit money he would be alive.
Fact: If he had fought with the officers he would be alive.
The officer leaning on his neck is inexcusable, and all the officers involved are going to be held accountable by the justice system.
Classic example of victim blaming. Using that logic if a woman wearing a short skirt gets raped it's her own fault. The only fact germane to Floyd's death is the fact that Chauvin's actions caused it.
It's the 21st century, come on out of the dark ages and join the rest of us. You know we discovered the world isn't flat as well?

It's quite the stretch to claim a career felon is a victim, a career felon who at one point robbed and threatened to kill a pregnant woman. My point was that if Floyd hadn't made very poor decisions that put himself in that situation he would still be alive.

You obviously didn't read the last line of my earlier reply.

As for me,, I'm done wasting my time with this thread. I'll continue to look up to and idolize people who contribute and build society and you can keep looking up to the thugs and felon's who tear it down.

The police have a duty to protect-that includes criminals. This career felon had a right to not die that day-he was handcuffed and immobilized and at the mercy of a person who was supposed to be looking after him.

The same thing happens to POWs-one minute they are trying to kill you, the next you are looking after their wounds and protecting them.

In the big scope of things you are correct-if he had been a law abiding citizen, the chances of him having police contact would have been minimal. Similar to anyone on this board riding their bike at the speed limit therefore we would probably have little police contact...how many people who own a bike like ours does this I wonder?????

I think his logic is more like. Take out wearing a short skirt and insert. Was naked sitting on a glory hole.

I think I get what you're saying. Its sort of like they took Dylann Roof to burger king after he gunned down 9 black worshipers at a SC church. Passing a $20, knee lynching. Kill 9 blacks, whopper.
