Ok, the 25th it is. I'll meet up with everyone from this area (west coast) and Kevin can get all the guys together from his area and we'll meet up somewhere. I'll post up tonight after I speak to Kev about when and where exactly after we finalize the route.

We should have a bigger search party now when Kev loses his phone again. Also I'll do some checking on restaraunts him and his brother haven't been thrown out of .

Yeah, you guys west of 75 are going to meet up with Diesel, the guys east of 75 can meet up with me and we'll all meet up at another location in-between. We thought it would be good to start early so we can beat some of the afternoon rain. Does 7:30 sound good for both groups to meet together? That would mean about 6:30 for the Lakeland guys on the north side of town. Old roller in ZH can meet us in Dade City at 7:00.

Where in Lakeland are you staying, we'll probably meet at the Circle K, 4 miles north of I-4 on US 98. Once we all meet there, we'll head up to meet Diesel and his group.

I was planning on meeting Kevin's group at sr 52 & Bellamy Bros rd at the neon cowboy at 7:30. I think most of us over here know where that is. I-75 north to S.R. 52, go west 3-4 miles to bellamy bros rd (red light). There's a closed down bar there with a small parking lot.

I doubt it's a dive, it's a recently renovated hotel from the 1920's. My former father-in-law had his first job there as the elevator boy. I think it may even be the tallest building in Lakeland, if not the second tallest.

That should be a great place to stay. If you roll into town Friday night, my wife and I could ride down and we could have dinner there in downtown if you want. There's a nice little park in the square in the middle of town, a few restaurants and of course, lakes.

The terrace is Lakeland ONLY upscale hotel. They have a high dollar restaurant in the hotel or you can walk 1 block NW to Harry's for a new Orleans style meal. If you are more of a pub kinda couple there's one of those 1 block west of the hotel as well. if you're salad and sandwich eaters there is a Crispers 2 blocks NW. If you are steak and potato people there is a good steakhouse around the lake to the east called Texas Cattle Company or you can ride 1 mile North turn right and pick from no less than a dozen other eating choices. You should enjoy your stay there.

For the trip you guys have in mind, where should I stay? Suggestions needed..........

We have a spare/guest room here at our place.. and room in the garage for another bike or two~ It is a queen bed, kinda on the firm side, and you still have your own TV w/cable..  gotta love dogs though.. we got two bigg'ns and a little one running around here!

We're just off 19 and 52 if you wanna map it... not far from Diesel and his lady~ You, and your lady, are welcome to stay here if need be~ TKM will be riding her Kat, so if your lady wants to ride her own bike, she will be in good company~ Just another option for you to think about...

Is this ride still heading through the ONF? Or did I miss a re-route amoungst the posts?
I am working up here in Ocala already and was just wondering where a good place to meet up with you guys might be? I have a hotel up here on SR200 & I75 if anyone is coming from the north to join. There's room for a couple or more. At worst we might have to spring for an extra "fold-away".
My wife will be with me this time....as she wants to break-in her new gear before our ride to the Keys next month.

Any thought's on where to meet, or has the route even been discussed thoroughly..?

We frequently rally up at the Hess on SR50 about 5 miles West of I-75.

Not sure if that is the plan... but I would not doubt that we will end up there at some point.
