Oooooooooooh you will want one ................. good stuff :cheerleader:
Just not sure how much extra Hp it will make
Let us know when you dyno it please Greg
Are you doing the twin or single install ?

Hi all got it all flashed tonight (just limiters and timing for now) sux that its dark outside itchn to go for a ride, a few things ( I have read all the posts here and know I'm not the first) man was the brown wire a b*t*h to get in, I mauled my ecu conector a bit trying (doesn't seem to be a problem).

I soiled myself after the first flash when the FI light kept flashing and it wouldn't start but just went back and changed form USA ecu to Gen (duh!) and re flashed sorted :cheerleader:

a quick question: I have yoshi trs slip ons that were fitted when i purchased the bike the dealer said he'd do the yoshi tune on it as well (yoshbox?) anyway I noticed now that at idle it runs lean, is this normal? i suspect yes but understand that flashing will have taken the yoshi tune out

Thanks to all involved with this it rocks!!

P.S spoke to the dyno guy in town (looking at getting a full system etc down tha track a bit) he tells me this is a passing fase and is dodgy he's seen this stuff come and go and what i need is a Pc5 :poke:..... Guess he wont be tuning my bike:whistle::laugh:

Do you have a datalogger with A/F, just wondering why you say its lean, with or without tuning done, with slip ons i wouldn't think it should be anything other than almost perfect anyhow.

I am not sure on gen 2, but on gen 1, you actually have to disable yosh settings as they are stored in a place that doesn't get wiped when ecu flashing, i sent petrik an email asking if he is turning off yosh settings automatically on gen 2, will see what he says.

Hey pearso,
With the generic setting does the key immobiliser system still work ? Petrik told me to use generic & someone else told me EU to cater for the security system.
My local dyno guy called it a "gimmick" ... hmmmm !

I reckon it does mate but I've only just flashed myself and haven't really checked it all out yet, the light next to the key still lights up so in my books yes, Petriks the man, but the guys here seem to know what their talking about (so take your pick) Generic made mine run again so it suits me:beerchug:

Ecu editor tells me its lean, when I go into engine data AFR @ idle says lean I suspect its not a big deal, as soon as throtle is opened its fine (no load I know) but engine data tells me its lean @ idle just curiosity?

cheers :beerchug:

As for yoshi settings ( please remeber I'm a noob and know jack all) I was under the impression that they changed fueling from standard with the yoshi tuning tool (did he lie to me ??? I might have to go stomp a mudhole in him!) and so my thoughs would be when you generate a new base map for flashing that would be factory settings and the yoshi changes would be gone? Please be gentle:please:

P.S your work is top notch Greg Thanks mate!

yosh box settings go to RAM on the ecu (at least on gen 1) which doesn't get flashed, so on a gen 1 bike just flashing it doesn't over write yosh settings, you have to check a box that says disable yosh values, what i dont know is if this is being done automaticallly for us or not, waiting to hear back from Petrik. The rich / lean from a narrowband sensor doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot to be honest, rich or lean of 14.7 is all its telling you.

yeah I kinda suspected it wasn't a big deal but thought I'd ask anyway as i'm going away on it for 8 days and 2/3000kms just to clarify for me; is the yoshbox also the suzuki diagnostic tool? I'm a toyota tech and we use the IT2, wonder if the yoshbox is Suzuki's equivalent or just yoshi's tuning tool?

Thanks for your help:bowdown:

SPoke with Petrik......the yosh box settings are still in effect, he hasn't found the spot in the code yet to dis-able the yosh settings, so your bike should be just like it was before except for the changes you made while flashing.

yosh box is a tuning tool, the suzuki sds tool for diagnostics is different

Beau good to hear it's all coming together for you mate.
Oh and I can tell you why your Dyno man told you that you need a PCV >>>>>>>>>> it's because he needs a new BMW
Tell him I said he's the passing phase as technology rolls on by leaving him in it's wake :banghead:
Re your trip ? Southbound to the Island ?
If not and your heading North can help you out regards the SDS stuff.
:beerchug:

Thanks Greg I'm Clear now (this is awsome! love the Org.)

Ob its all I could do not to laugh in the guys face, hes busy telling me that Ecu editor tunes useing AFR's and if a sensor messes up your screwed etc (and I've been out of the game for a little while but???) I sorta wondered why he thought that the PC5 method of tuning was more efficent that what the FACTORY uses?, he then goes on to tell me he's got customers bikes running around town with well over 200rwhp engine un opened and he can get the same results with PC5 and an xtre (and at only 3 times the price BARGIN!)

Needless to say I was wowed by hes brilliance:whistle:
P.S they musta been monday bikes???, and yeah off to Gp I go can I expect you?

One word : HOLYSHID! its amazing what a little extra timing can do! I was laughing out loud in my helmet

Thanks guys:beerchug::thumbsup:

I just got my tuner cable and got everthing working last night...does anyone have a good base-tune for a Gen II with full exhaust and a BMC race air filter? I have Yoshimura Tri-opal single side full exhaust.

The only thing I haven't been able to do with EE2 is gear based fuel compensation. I am still using my PCIII with hub setup to lean out 1st and 2nd gear for ram air compensation. Otherwise is still kind of boggy through 2nd. Hopefully that can be something that can be added to EE2 in the future?

Keep up the good work guys.

what/s a/f in each gear without doing that? Not sure i understand why it would be that way unless we are talking about spraying progressively or something

N2O Progressive kicks in in first gear, and is all the way in by middle of second. Perhaps this is why 2nd is rich. Third is still stink-rich at 11.9 A/F. I tune for fourth gear at 12.6, and it stays at 12.6 through 5th gear at 165 mph. Any thoughts?
