Hey everyone. Thanks for your continued prayers and support. Although Kristen's numbers haven't improved in the past few days, your prayers are keeping her strong! I am amazed at this girl's attitude. It's excellent!

Treatments aren't yielding the results we're looking for, so the doctors may start another from of chemo later in the week. This is one baffling decease.

She's got her own private room now, so that makes her happy. Today was day #23 in the hospital. Can't speculate on her release date any more. Every time I do something happens. We're taking it one day at a time.

Good to hear she's stayin' positive. That's critical for her I believe. Just keep passing our thoughts, prayers, and notes on to her man. I'm praying for her several times a day. Every time I see my desktop and then some.

You stay positive too. I know it must be draining you, but things are going to work out. Just takes a little time.

You now have another prayer offered up on your/her behalf. Prayer works...sometimes it just takes a little time is all. This is happening for a reason and we may never know what it was until we ask God while in His presence. It could be something as simple as the warmth her painting brings to a child or interaction with a nurse or someone reading this thread and realizing it OK to care and show it. NEVER question Why something is happening. Just pray you have the faith to react according to His will and follow his lead. May she recover quickly.

OK. Some good news to report today. We might have a trend going here.

Yesterday, Kristen's platelets were up to 110k! She was at 81k the day before. Today she's up to 131k!

As long as there are no more setbacks (infections or otherwise), she could be out in a week. Yay!

Thanks everyone for your constant support. I couldn't dream up a better group of friends!

This is most excellent news! Already sent prayers up this morning for her, but I'm sending another now for her improvement to continue and for her to be able to come home soon!!!

See Kristen, I told you earlier we'd pull you through.

Of course your strength, and positive attitude prolly helped, too.

Oh, wait, you're not old enough to drink. Those glasses have coke (or whatever your favorite drink is!) in them.

We'll be lookin' for a personal report from YOU as soon as you are well enough to come home and have internet access.

If she maintains or increases in the next day or so the doctors will take her off the plasma exchange for a day or two and see how she does. If she maintains her numbers without the treatments, they'll let her come home. So, we might get her back next week.

I guess I was wrong about Kristen's numbers 2 days ago. She was up tp 160k, not 150k (better than I thought). Yesterday, Kristen slipped a little to 143k. Still, the doctors say that if she maintains her current level or improves today, they'll take her off the plasma exchange for a day and see how she does.

We're getting very close now. Thanks again everyone!
