More prayers sent up..

Yes, stress, attitude it all plays a roll.

Also diet.. have they changed her diet at all?  Has she by any chance been getting less fluids in the last few days?

water helps flush out toxins out of our system, which helps our system recover quicker.

Just a thought..
Thanks for your good thoughts. Yes, fluids are essential. They're constantly pumping them into her via the IV and she's drinking a lot of water, cranberry juice and, of course, Gatorade. This IS the University of Florida, after all (birthplace of Gatorade)

She stays in my prayers. Keep us appraised of her condition if you can. May God bless.....

Kristen,

Praying for you that you will have a quick and full recovery. Hope you are out of the hospital soon.

I'm starting to feel bad about posting so much on this thread. I'm sure that some of you are getting a little tired of seeing it pop up, but your prayers and good wishes are greatly appreciated just the same.

Some concerning news today. The doctors are starting Kristen on chemotherepy. No, she doesn't have cancer. The reasons are very complicated, but the risks and side effects are the same. Nausia, weakness and risk of hair loss. Needless to say, it's worrisome. Supposedly the chemo will give the normal treatment a turbo-boost and imrovement should be dramatic afterwards.

Kristen's keeping a positive attitude. I'm proud of her. She's been in the hospital since Jan. 7.

Strong, couragous, and positive little girl you got there. You should be very proud of her... in the face of adversity she pushes on with an attitude that most adults would not have. God bless and the prayers are heading up again tonight...

Don't even sweat it.

I naturally cannot speak for anyone but myself, but it would not bother me to see this at the very top of new posts every time I logged on.

She is your daughter bro and you and her and your family can use all the support you can get, even if it is from strangers from all over the United States and the world

I pray every morning, and I pray where I am felt lead to pray and I pray for whom I am felt lead to pray for, and you and your daughter have been on my heart and in my prayers.

Your updates keep your daughter fresh in our minds, which reminds those of us that do pray to pray for her continually.

I can't think of anyone that would be bothered by your updates, and if someone is, well they can just skip the post. They know what it looks like by now.... But I don't think there is anyone who is bothered.

Hang tough and keep the prayers coming people

Ron

1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Jam 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing psalms.

Jam 5:14 Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

Jer 29:12 Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

Joh 14:13 And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Joh 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever,
Joh 14:17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

Mat 18:19 Again I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as regarding anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in Heaven.
Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst.

Thanks guys.

Is there any kind of a big meeting planned, say around Bike Week in Daytona? I would enjoy the opportunity to thank as many of you as possible, in person.

Prayers going up bro for healing, peace and deliverance. Just know when it's done who gets the glory (not the doctors, nurses or therapists). Gotta give God all the glory.

Well, I'm in Gainesville now, posting from my cheap motel room at the Howard Johnsons where there are not 1, not 2, but 3 wireless networks to choose from! I wish they would donate one to the big fancy hospital.

Kristen's in good spirits and improving. Platelets are up to 120,000, but may take a slight dip as a result of the chemo. After talking with her main doctor, I now understand that she may only have the one chemo treatment, depending on her progress over the next couple of days. If things go well, she may be out sometime next week!

She is aware of all of your good wishes for her speedy recovery. I've suggested to her that if any of you are coming to Bike Week in Daytona this year, I'll load her up on the rear saddle of the Roadie and bring her to one of our gatherings so that she can meet you and vice-versa. She likes the idea.

More later.

Good deal!!!

200,000 is the magic number right Bob?

Looks like she is definatley improving... awesome!!!

I pray everything keeps improving for her/you.

it's amazing how much simple number like that can take over isn't it? I have a 16mo. old that nearly died when she was 9 days old.. spent 2 weeks on a vent, and another week being monitered.. It's like your whole world revolves around numbers, beeps, whirrs, and the daily doc report.

I know first hand there is nothing i can say to make it easier, just keep the faith bro.

Ron,

Yes, they're saying that once she reaches 200,000, they'll take her off the plasma exchange for a couple of days and see if she maintains a reasonable count. Once they're satisfied, the semi-permiment IV ports come out and she comes home. There will be follow-ups after that, but I'm expecting good results.

The power of prayer, it's amazing! Keep asking for strength. That's what is getting her through.
