Gen 3 first service.....

So I have first 3 services for free. What all is done on first service other than oil and filter? Do you have to use the suzuki oil? I've always used motul 7100. What's the concensus on this?
You guys are so lucky with 3 free services. In India we pay for each service - no free service. The Suzuki ECSTAR oil is recommended by Suzuki so it must be good quality. I used it too. The first service cost the equivalent of USD140 here.

Same here! Suzuki Dealers dont give you free services anymore! Years ago, there was no problem, but now, no dealer wants to do that. Maybe they had trouble with Suzuki Germany. Now you have to pay 250 Euro for the first Service...thats a lot!

Ecstar 10W-40 , looked great coming out, small panel for filter

That’s seriously a lot of money.

How were the fairings to remove? or was it a small panel to expose the filter? Thanks
They took time. I had to look at YouTube to somewhat help remove them. Start at the dash panels, move to the tank and then side fairings. By far I won't say it was something that was fast or easy nor fun. We also don't have a tank prop rod like the old gen1s so I used my girl friend to hold the tank up while I installed my Sprint filter. Installing the headers I found removing the radiator and oil cooler outright made the install very easy. At that point I used Engine Ice coolant to refill the engine coolant and yes it warms up faster and stays cooler. My legs no longer bake when I'm driving.

+1 on the Engine Ice
I put it in all my machines.
I have it in my Raptor 700 and it's in the Gsxr1000R too.
Great stuff.

What differences did you notice with the Sprint filter?
Which one did you use?

F1 Sprint was installed with the alienhead 2 system, ceramic wheel bearings & polyurethane cush drive. Is the bike different completely? Loud yes, more front end wheel levitation issues? Yes absolutely. I can't imagine after the ecu is unlocked to be honest.

To be honest when I first got the gen3 and my legs felt hot constantly I was shocked. Now with Engine Ice that I'll just swap out every 6months to a year is hella worth it. Yes I've been using it on everything starting with my 2002 Gsxr 600. It's kind of a must do, I always forget to mention it in mod posts.

Not to mention, I always use AMSOIL. I can't over brag about how new the engine looked in my 2005 Busa when I pulled it apart to put rods and pistons in her. She had 15k miles and looked brand spanking new. So... AMSOIL over priced gold they will always have. Oil Filter, well always Suzuki filters, never had a leak or an issue so why not.

I flush coolant every year, sometimes a month or 2 more, whenever I get around to it over the winter.
The Engine Ice lasts without turning colors or smelling bad.
I wouldn't worry about changing it at 6 months, but that's just me:beerchug:

I had that arguement with my dealer..I said, hey turn off my service light, he said I gotta do first service..I said, I did it, with synthetic oil I use, and go ahead and bill suzuki for 1st service, I'm ok with that, been trading with this guy 20 yrs, ...he said, they have to, and dump my fresh oil, and put the suzuki sh*t in it..I said nope, he said, wont turn light off, I called suzuki, they sent me the service switch free, (new model, I have older version) I turned light off, and told dealer go fu*k himself..literally.
Hi Sir, I have a Gen 3 - 2022 Hayabusa and I have a similar situation in which the dealer is saying that the service light will switch off only with computer. Can you please let me know whether you contacted Suzuki Japan or in America? If you do not mind, please can you provide me with the contact information so I will do the same. Many thanks in advance :)

Don’t want to try the jumper method above?

I was going to try but not to compromise warranty I decided not to proceed. That is why I contacted agent. If factory suggest the switch I would go for it, but I need to be sure that it is factory approved together with its part number.
