In fact you are right but I thought it is better. I am from Malta, EuropeWarranty and service aren’t tied together here in the US. Not sure where you are.
Also, if the system doesn’t keep a record of how the reset was accomplished (research needed), you may have less hoops to jump through.
Great video. Had no idea about the lower right fairing. Also it is concerning about the low oil issue. I have not checked mine since I bought it as I dont have a stand yet. Curious if it is low or not. I will be checking as soon as my stand comes.
The dealer I purchased from specifically asked me if I wanted oil added because they have all come low in shipping. Should be part of pre-delivery checklist IMO.Great video. Wth kind of question is that? The dealer I purchased from specifically asked me if I wanted oil added because they have all come low in shipping. Should be part of pre-delivery checklist IMO.
I understand that but is easier as space is limited where I park it.Hold the bike upright and look at the oil sight glass, if the oil is visible to the bottom line it is ok.
Most of us run it with the oil at the middle to top line.
You do not need a stand to check the oil.
All you have to do is park anywhere, give the oil a couple minutes to settle, squat down on the right side of the bike, pull the bike upright towards you, and look at the sight glass.I understand that but is easier as space is limited where I park it.
Hahaha I’d be using a different dealer. The dealer I purchased from specifically asked me if I wanted oil added because they have all come low in shipping. Should be part of pre-delivery checklist IMO.
Actually it’s not that uncommon when people ask for a certain type of break-in procedure. It’s low on the sight glass, and some run it on bottom mark and some run them on top mark. He was only asking what I prefer.Wth kind of question is that?
It comes low on oil, do you want us to add some?
I'de have say, "no, you can replace the engine under warranty" to see their reaction.
You guys are so lucky with 3 free services. In India we pay for each service - no free service. The Suzuki ECSTAR oil is recommended by Suzuki so it must be good quality. I used it too. The first service cost the equivalent of USD140 here.
You had to buy before the cutoff date (Dec 31st I believe) to get the first 3-services free. *EDITED* Info from Suzuki added..Suzuki USA must rotate offers because I just bought here and 4 dealers I checked at weren't offering any free services.
So you can roll back if you need to. Just make sure the current date is set correctly before you short the pins in the connector. The available mileage intervals are keyed to future dates. Kind of hard to explain and I don't know why Suzuki did that since most people only care about the next mileage interval. The other weird thing is you can't set an interval listed in the service schedule. I set to the closest available interval before the next service mileage. Anyway, after playing with it a bit I got it sorted out. When you reset, make sure you only do it once, you cannot roll it back. I thought it didn't take the first time so my next interval is 7500 miles. Of course I will track it separately.
