Gen 3 first service.....

Warranty and service aren’t tied together here in the US. Not sure where you are.

Also, if the system doesn’t keep a record of how the reset was accomplished (research needed), you may have less hoops to jump through.

In fact you are right but I thought it is better. I am from Malta, Europe

Great video. Had no idea about the lower right fairing. Also it is concerning about the low oil issue. I have not checked mine since I bought it as I dont have a stand yet. Curious if it is low or not. I will be checking as soon as my stand comes.

The dealer I purchased from specifically asked me if I wanted oil added because they have all come low in shipping. Should be part of pre-delivery checklist IMO.

Wth kind of question is that?
It comes low on oil, do you want us to add some?
I'de have say, "no, you can replace the engine under warranty" to see their reaction.

Hold the bike upright and look at the oil sight glass, if the oil is visible to the bottom line it is ok.
Most of us run it with the oil at the middle to top line.
You do not need a stand to check the oil.
I understand that but is easier as space is limited where I park it.

All you have to do is park anywhere, give the oil a couple minutes to settle, squat down on the right side of the bike, pull the bike upright towards you, and look at the sight glass.
Checking the oil level is kind of important.
Especially after reading the post above about the gen3's being shipped low on oil.
There are alot of worthless dealers and mechanics out there too.
I wouldn't trust anything to them, especially something as simple but important as the oil level.
I would'nt be waiting on a rear stand to check it...which is also going to skew the reading, as the rear of the bike is raised, and in order to accurately check the oil level...the bike needs to be level...on the ground, or raised evenly in the front.
Site glass
Low line 3.25 qts
Center line 3.50 qts
Top line 3.75 qts
Full glass 4 qts or more

When you reset, make sure you only do it once, you cannot roll it back. I thought it didn't take the first time so my next interval is 7500 miles. Of course I will track it separately.

Actually it’s not that uncommon when people ask for a certain type of break-in procedure. It’s low on the sight glass, and some run it on bottom mark and some run them on top mark. He was only asking what I prefer.

Now that I’m done drooling on my desk looking at all those awesome old school bike pictures………………. I don’t let anyone get near my vehicles. The only time I took the busa in was for rectifier recall and they left the belly cowl loose and it contacted the exhaust melting part of it.
I just bought a Tacoma and they included a bunch of free oil changes, but no one will touch her besides me. The 3 to 4 hrs of my day wasted sitting at a dealership waiting on an oil change is worth more than the money It cost me to get OEM filter and oil to do it myself, and at the end of the day, I know I did a better job than they could’ve done.

You guys are so lucky with 3 free services. In India we pay for each service - no free service. The Suzuki ECSTAR oil is recommended by Suzuki so it must be good quality. I used it too. The first service cost the equivalent of USD140 here.

Suzuki USA must rotate offers because I just bought here and 4 dealers I checked at weren't offering any free services.

You had to buy before the cutoff date (Dec 31st I believe) to get the first 3-services free. *EDITED* Info from Suzuki added..

So you can roll back if you need to. Just make sure the current date is set correctly before you short the pins in the connector. The available mileage intervals are keyed to future dates. Kind of hard to explain and I don't know why Suzuki did that since most people only care about the next mileage interval. The other weird thing is you can't set an interval listed in the service schedule. I set to the closest available interval before the next service mileage. Anyway, after playing with it a bit I got it sorted out.
