high hp cobra wants to race............

roll on race you want it at a take off about 60-70mph....at 140 with 800 hp car versus car...he's gonna reel ya in. Car has advantage top end over the bike. Plenty of stock looking cars locally that will spank you 1/4 mile.

Personally, he already "knows" he can take ya....unless you plan to do mods to give him a possible loss....why let him video another kill?

Everytime a car kills a bike, it encourages every civic owner to try it and this leads to bike versus car fatalities.

Monsters should be revealed as monsters....the limelight should be limited and just maybe......we can save some of this bad rap we get.

I have dome some research on this car. I am almost sure that the 2003 Cobra was supercharged wasn't it?? If that is the case, he is working on compound boost. If he is....and he is running somewhere around 25 pounds of boost he is lying out of his @ss, he is probably pushing more around the realm of 1050 or better. It's easy to burn bikes and cars when you are telling people that you have less horse. It that thing is supercharged also....you are done.

i can ride the **** out of the bike.. i have NO problem going from a dig, i feel like im really good on starts.. what im asking is what roll should i request, obviously my 1st gear is strongest at about 30-40mph which would put him in 2ed. OR we could go from a 60roll and i start in 2ed. ive never heard the car in person, but im worried that it may be so loud that i might not be able to hear my bike at all. he DID just put a TT on the car. it blew up about a year ago and he put it in the shop got the motor built and the turbos put on..he just got it back not too long ago. before the turbos it had just bolt ons and aftermarket pullies for the supercharger.

ive had the bike since april and ive put 7000miles on it. before the busa i had a 600rr that i put 15kmiles on, and before that i had a cr250r that i raced motocross on

03/04 cobras came stock with a roots style supercharger. he sold the stock charger when the turbos went on.

Based on all I read, I would say don't do it at any speed. That cobra is pushing 1,000 plus HP, I would have a tough time with my Green dragon pushing 350hp, and you are no where near it in hp. If you choose to run you chose to loose at about any roll off. Good luck in your choice.

race 2 (rs)
n.
1. Sports
a. A competition of speed, as in running or riding.
b. races A series of such competitions held at a specified time on a regular course: a fan of the dog races.
2. An extended competition in which participants struggle like runners to be the winner: the presidential race.
3. Steady or rapid onward movement: the race of time.

I'm very surprised that a Hayabusa owner wouldn't know this.

See red text above:whistle:

And seriously, what's the point? Bike wins and the cager starts making the age old excuses about why a bike should be able to beat a cage. Cage wins and you get what suzuki4life was talking about. So again I ask, what's the point?

750 or 800hp cobra VS. stock busa, he will win by car lenght or two. good full system and pc mapped busa will run with him and beat him by bike lenght. ( this all depends on what speed you quit racing and 50 miles roll on 50-150)you need to turbo that thing or spray it or major gear change like two up and one down!
the cheapest way go one down in front and 2 up in rear sprocket.:beerchug:

I just hope we are not reading the Prelude to your obit. Gear up if your going to do it and pray that all goes well. Not trying to be a DK, just have read about and heard about way to many peeps going to see St Peter lately.
ride safe race safe. It can be done.

Great so he sold the stock charger and TT the motor after he had it BUILT. Dude , Ninja is right, dude just letting you know it will not be about skill......I really mean that. Take a look at this! He replaced the supercharger too, I am willing to bet on it!

Compound Boost 2003 Mustang Cobra Twin-Turbo - Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine

So what would be needed to run compounded boost on a busa? Any one know of a kit or builder with knowledge? Just curious.:please:

if you do this the bike will be in the air and passed even in the places it should have the advantage...:banghead:

stock 1st gen busa is geared VERY well for 201 mph in stock form.....if you are setting up a 1/4 mile run (which I doubt since its a roll on race) then the gearing might help..

if not, the stock gearing is fine...

a dry kit might be nice....but I don't see 40 hp up top giving you much an advantage....when he starts to reel you in, his aeros have won.

compounded boost?

buy a turbo kit...have $4000-5000 handy...and be ready to install a basic kit.

I asked about compounded boost not a single kit. And yes gearing WILL help over stock gearing. Thats retarded to think that stock gearing would be better than a 16/43 or 16/44 setup. Their not racing to 200mph if you read the entire post then you'll see they race to around 150.

Just drink a big old glass of Metamucil 8-10 hours beforehand. That ought to do it!

But seriously, how many of these posts does it take to realize that this kinda crap is giving us all a black eye!:banghead: Tell him to stick his race and move on!

Pink, no way that I know of until you find a way to supercharge your baby and then turbo her! Eventually you are just gonna plain run out of space!.

But can you imagine!!:cheerleader:

Oh My...

The stock 03/4 cobra is BUILT FOR BOOST from the factory, if you run into one EXPECT it to run mid/low 10's. it takes <$1500 to get them to 600 RWHP. 1000rwhp is EASILY attainable from a TT car on race fuel on the STOCK MOTOR.

If we're starting a pool, I'm in on the Cobra.

And it has been stated that the kid has had the thing built....Tommy, I am starting to agree with everyone else.....walk away. You can't win this. :please:

Besides you putting your life at risk. There is nothing to be gained here.
Him racing you is like you racing a 5 year old on his Big Wheel.
Dude, you are going to get spanked if not killed. Literally and figuratively.
Just walk away and be the BIGGER man.:please:
