high hp cobra wants to race............

Great so he sold the stock charger and TT the motor after he had it BUILT. Dude , Ninja is right, dude just letting you know it will not be about skill......I really mean that. Take a look at this! He replaced the supercharger too, I am willing to bet on it!

I love my Busa! I will never part with it. I just finished reading the article above, and man.....ya just gotta love that car! (1025 rwph!) Good Luck Bro..I personally would put a lane between the 2 of you . like said before, when things brake on cars (between car and bike races) it seems to go bad for bikes.

There are too many factors envolving the cobra's set up to accurately guess who is going to win, but know that turbo cars are usually faster from a roll than from a dig.
If you lose who cares, you'll have a killer story to tell all your friends.

If he is putting down an honest 770 rwhp, I will put my vote in on the car. There is a camaro around here with a built small block running 650-700 rwhp and he has consistantly beat 600's, 900rr's, and some other liter bikes too. He even is pulling away at the end of the quarter....so I say.. Gl, have fun, be safe!!!!! As posted above me, it's badass either way!!!! Win or lose!

Hate to be the bearer of common sense here but this is the kind of stuff that is best left for the track. Guess nobody has paid any attention to all the fatalities posted over the last few days.

An 800hp car street racing in the dark, now that was a smart video.

The voice of reason speaks.

All you guys keep telling him to quit but hes already said he would race. And telling him to back out because he might get hurt or die.....Whats with that? Anyone of us could die at anytime on our bikes but now that hes racing you think he has a better chance of getting hurt. Thats like saying dont go 200 mph or dont see if you can go 170 in the 1/4 mile. Thats bull. If you do lose then congradulate him on his win and move on. But to sit here and tell him not to race.....come on guys thats saying youve never ripped the throttle and played. Hes asking for advise and over half of you tell him not to race. Its apparent that hes going to race so why not just help him do the best he can?

End of rant.

Its been a bad day and its now raining so im pissed that I cant ride. Sorry, dont mean to anger anyone but seriously.....
Just suggesting to move the comp to a track its sounds advice but GL any which way you go

If that Ford out runs the Busa , let me know, I'll put on some tennis shoes and smoke his azz..:::) Run Forest Runnnnnnnnnn! U know its funny! So juice it up , smoke his rear and save Budda.

Wow, racing a 1200 hp car not 770 and you are going to do it on the street. Hope he does not get loose or your toast. Hope you are here to talk about it after the big race. Good luck. That much horse on a car is easy to loose control. GO TO THE TRACK UNDER CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT!!!

I think its kinda silly for those of you who are talking about how much money the guy had to spend the beat a bike...everyone knows a bike is faster in most cases, the hp to weight ratio is out of this world. Why not respect someone who has a fast car that can beat a 450 lb bike? The guy probably just wants some good competition and wants to have fun.

thats all he wants, and thats all i want. i WILL wear all my gear thats for sure. and it WILL be on video for everybody to see the end result. i dont really care if i loose..ill be very impressed to see a car beat a busa to be honest. i am however thinking about ordering some gears in the morning but i dont know if they will be in by saturday.. should i postpone the race till i get the gears in? i hardly ever get over 160 so i dont mind droping the gears. how much of a diffrence will i tell from a 2ed gear pull at say 70? i dont want the bike to feel like my 1st gear is useless at normal riding because thats really all i ever do with the bike. i did some practice runs today at 40rolls. i would lay on the tank and nail it and it would come up then once it would hit 10k it let off just alittle and yank it into 2ed while it was in the air. ive got my 40rolls down and ready but now im considering waiting for the gears.

to all the people that say dont do it BUT are doing 200mph runs. where are you finding a track that will let you hit 200? ive toped mine out once and i dont even think it was toped out..i was at 187. its just something i dont like doing on the street much

I say Good Luck and be be safe. We all know running on the street is dangerous, but it is an individuals descion.

IMO, I would run him even if your gears are not in. If he wins, tell him good race and that "you'll be back" . Then maybe run him again if you want after you get your gears. Look at it this way, he might give you that goal to shoot for!!

I'll say it again, when you run him, best of luck and I hope no one gets hurt!!

he wants to run on the street from a 30 roll or a 50roll.

what could i expect from this? ??? should i put some money on this?

you can expect to possibly be needing bail $, or wiping you @ss off the pavement if the Cobra loses it in front of you at any point...
dude-last time I looked, there's no one running "races" from ANY mph-THEY ALL START FROM ZERO. thats how we know it was a race! :rulez:

take this clown to the Drag strip, get some good cameras n SMOKE HIS A$$ like a Cigarette!

couple of advices:

1. don't be nervous
2. don't redline the thing!
3. don't miss a gear.

these from my experience to you:thumbsup:

good luck be safe and kick his bottom!:please:

thats what i was thinking..ive watched MANY videos on 800hp cars vs busas and it seems alot closer and 80% of the time..the bike wins. i dont understand...he runs a 10.8 in the 1/4 and the bike ran 9.75

Twin turbo with that HP from a roll... he's got you covered. The reason he won't go from a stop is that he can't hook up. If he's only running 10.8 in the 1/4 I bet his 60 foot times are about 1.8 or so..... traction issues.

My youngest son has an 03 Cobra on a 150 shot of spray and he gets 10.85 in the 1/4 at Milan in Michigan.

I'd say that Cobra has major hook issues... but that HP will get you.

Ad don't do it on the street....let calmer minds prevail and do the bench race.

i can ride the **** out of the bike.. i have NO problem going from a dig, i feel like im really good on starts.. what im asking is what roll should i request, obviously my 1st gear is strongest at about 30-40mph which would put him in 2ed. OR we could go from a 60roll and i start in 2ed. ive never heard the car in person, but im worried that it may be so loud that i might not be able to hear my bike at all. he DID just put a TT on the car. it blew up about a year ago and he put it in the shop got the motor built and the turbos put on..he just got it back not too long ago. before the turbos it had just bolt ons and aftermarket pullies for the supercharger.

ive had the bike since april and ive put 7000miles on it. before the busa i had a 600rr that i put 15kmiles on, and before that i had a cr250r that i raced motocross on

i ran with a new lamborghini murcielago this past weekend from a 45 start and i beat him on a stock busa! i think you can take him if you time ur shifts perfect.

If you race him on the freeway like in the video you will prove one thing, win or loose. You're both MORONS. Find a nice lonely place out in the middle of nowhere and block off the road, or take it to the track.

I'd hate to read another rider getting hurt or killed racing. Or, another rider is responsible for an innocent by-stander getting hurt or killed.

i am however thinking about ordering some gears in the morning but i dont know if they will be in by saturday.. should i postpone the race till i get the gears in? i hardly ever get over 160 so i dont mind droping the gears. how much of a diffrence will i tell from a 2ed gear pull at say 70? i dont want the bike to feel like my 1st gear is useless at normal riding because thats really all i ever do with the bike. i did some practice runs today at 40rolls. i would lay on the tank and nail it and it would come up then once it would hit 10k it let off just alittle and yank it into 2ed while it was in the air. ive got my 40rolls down and ready but now im considering waiting for the gears.

I don't pay much attention to my speed when shifting but I believe "I" am at the top of 1st at 70. With MY gears IF i was gonna do a rollon I'd probably prefer to roll from 40 or 50.

"how much of a diffrence will i tell from a 2ed gear pull at say 70?"---depends on what gears you go with. With mine, a HUGE dif.
