high hp cobra wants to race............

These races are fun, YES. BUT think about the risk involved. It's just like gambling.ME I'm more of a 5cent slot machine kinda guy. This is more like a $10.00 slot pull. Very expensive gamble if things go bad. I ain't dogging you but think about ALL possible outcomes before you gamble. :agree:

Just be very very careful. And get multiple camera angles:laugh:

The Power to Weight ratio is about the same for a 770 hp car that weighs 3600 vs a 160 hp bike that weighs 650 with rider. Both work out to 4.1 lbs. per HP. Should be very interesting. I would dare say gearing would be your best bet on that one. Keep us posted and good luck!

If you race him on the freeway like in the video you will prove one thing, win or loose. You're both MORONS. Find a nice lonely place out in the middle of nowhere and block off the road, or take it to the track.

I'd hate to read another rider getting hurt or killed racing. Or, another rider is responsible for an innocent by-stander getting hurt or killed.

did you watch the video? we are getting another permit from the city

Sorry I didnt take time to read all of this. But coming from owning turbo mustangs and racing 'busas, youve got a damn good chance. Take him past 130 and you'll have no problem but dont take him lightly by any means. The guy on the busa was sitting upright and wasnt even trying and thats friggin obvious. Good luck my man and be safe!!!!!!

Just got the vid to work and the guy on the busa didn't even get on it till the car had a length on him, the car got a good jump and then when the busa finally does get on the throttle he starts to reel him in. I say you can take him easy if he is still running the same boost level. It is built though and I would say he can turn her on up.

I dont think he is REALLY getting a permit or he wouldn't be thinking about "rescheduling" until after new gears???

Hey Chris.....my Lego race car can beat your Lego race car:poke:
but only if we're on a hill, facing Northeast, using a racetrack made of ABS plastic, and I get the give my car an extra push at the start, plus we have to both run Lego tires....
and I need to get a permit for that hill or Barney the Park Ranger might get mad:rofl:

but dude-that would be such a cool race, I bet it'll get LOTS of hits on Youtube:rofl:

I watched the Busa passing a few bystander's cars in the right hand lane when they took off. I highly doubt that was done with a permit. That looked like Freeway squid racing from the camera view. I could be wrong, but it look public to me.

heres the video
- Busa's, Cobras, and Corvette's, Oh My! (JUGRNAUT PRODUCTION[/url]

the yellow cobra is that car thats being talked about

Looked like the bike got jumped, but took him over in seconds to me.

Tell him YOU'RE the one in great danger if he gets sideways, etc. Would only take a fraction of a second and you're HISTORY.

You've already beaten him--your 1/4 mile times are better. He ALREADY lost! Do NOT give him any advantage by going from a roll.

Great, a lane full of air. What speed do you run at the end of the 1/4? How 'bout him? *IF* he isn't sandbagging, that'll tell you how hard he pulls at the end. Unless/until he runs out of gear, the faster you go the bigger his advantage, because of his lower drag.

You'd easily have beaten my 700HP, 3300 lb. '69 BB Vette in the 1/4, but it would go ~210+ top end w/2.73 gears, and you can't.
