I would'nt say to the limit, but to 185 or so that was fast enough for me. Now I have it geared so i doubt I'll ever see any faster..

Well... I got my own Busa since the last time I posted on this thread... I burried the needle at 185mph, and kept going until the GPS read out 183mph.... It is fast.... but there's always room for improvement cool.gif

Error--176 gps in 5th a couple years ago--yup it gets your attention. not 210 but not parked either. wow.gif

All stock 2000.145 on one wheel through 3rd gear.Hit 200 on the speedo on the top end run.Got a gps for next spring.I usually try to beat my last years record ever since I had my zx 11. I was stuck at 190 for a while. Now i'm stuck on 200.Been to it a couple times but had to let off eatin up the road to fast and either catch up to traffic or a kink in the road is coming up way to fast.I bought mine new and since I bought I still havent topped it out. It has to be the right time and place. So I wait.I'm not one to just go out and see if i can find the perfect stretch to max it out. If i come across it and way far ahead looks clear off i go. BE SAFE GUYS

GPS verified 159 with one tooth down in the front, 220lbs of me, 50+ lbs of road-trip gear, tankbag, tail pack and beetle bags. Could have gone faster, but the oh-sh*t factor played a big part, as well as running out straight road.

I've had mine up to 150. I was surprised because the sensation of speed was no different than doing 100. The bike is so stable. I''d like to take it to the limit, but I haven't found a stretch of road that I think is safe enough.

<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'></span><span style='font-family:arial'></span>221.7MPH in 1 mile<span style='color:red'></span>

Looking for 230MPH in April at Maxton.  Ninja Eater, you coming?

Guy

A little over 170 indicated, just got it up there, then backed off.

Ive redlined 6th gear with 17 front and 39 rear sprocket, if Im not mistaking a factory gear set up tops out at 192 or 193, so I had to have been going faster than that, hey how about fastest wheelies, lol Ive been in 4th gear doing 160 on a stand up

Redline of 11k rpms would be about 211 mph with 17/39. That would take a few engine mods or a good mountain downgrade.

Done about 125 Miles (200 KmpH) ... Have the bike for 15 days now! I know Its not a whole lot of speed, but for the kinda roads that I have in My city, anything more than that is disaster wink.gif

I have a new personal high now... 140 MPH biggrin.gif

I know ... I know im slow compared to you people wink.gif

Finding a good place is the hard part, getting to 150 is easy getting to 180 is another story, 183mph is the fast I have been. Need to install a tre some day to feel to take it to the next level.

It's 45 miles for me to go to work via X-way, so I get a lot of full-on blasts for a couple of miles at a time until I see any traffic...185+ more times than I can count. God I love this bike! Smooth as glass!

Had my GF over 175 a few times...not bad for a couple of old farts!
