At age 13 mine was a new 1974 125 Yamaha Enduro. I'm now on my 21st bike.
First bike was a Suzuki Volusia 800 ... great first bike.
My first bike was a 80cc Honda & My first street bike was a KZ 650 Kawi!

I'f I remember correctly aside from the minebikes and scooters my first streetbike that would run the speed limit was a Honda 175 scrambler, I was 15, now at 53 I'v had the Busa about 2-1/2 years now, and I will say this If somebody gets a Busa for there first motorcycle, sooner or later you will crash hopefully not to bad. yea I know you may have rode this bike and that bike, it does not matter when you get on a Busa all that don't count, I have forgotten how many bikes I have had between the 175Honda and the Busa. this bike will adjust your attitude, or hurt you real bad
My first bike was a Suzuki DS 80 dirtbike... Started out suzuki and will stay suzuki by choice---
My little DS 80 was a mean machine too... watched my older brother smoke many a 125 dirt bikes in short distance races..little dude had a ton of torque..
then I went to a kawasaki 100 enduro bike--- it sucked on power and everything else--- the kawa really had no torque or power at all--- shoulda known huh..
Then I went to a Honda 400 Hawk just like a couple of other guys have made mention of... I really got into the streetbikes from there. It was a great starter streetbike...would run pretty hard too!!
Then went to a Yamaha 920 Virago.... that was a bad attitude cruiser too..
Now the Busa..... 'nuff said.....

I started with a broken mini-bike, that I would ride down hill, I can't even remember how old I was, I think I was doing that before I could ride a bike, the paddling was just too much for me (and over rated)...

I started on a 2005 ZX6R. At the time I was about 320 lbs and honestly felt that my fat ass on that bike was similar to a regular person on a EX500. Rode it about 3500-4000 miles and got my Busa. My thinking was I felt like a stork fugging a football on the 636 and I was simply looking for a bike with more room. I was happy with the power of the 636 (at the time....). Now my wife rides the 6R (she bought a Ninja 250 when I bout the 6R)
