I must be obsolete...

George Carlin is focusing on a certain group in this video but we could lump in all the other fringe groups in there as well....each one of these groups strive to be unique and special which overshadows their place in society. I find in many ways their loyalty lies more in their inter-societal group and not in their country and what it stands for.....

And I read recently that Elon has lost 2 of his kids to this gender questioning culture in schools.
Heartless statements like this make me question my faith in human beings. Musk actually did lose a child, his first son, to SIDS.
Please try to have some compassion.

I read that 15% of Olympic venues are abandoned......put that into a dollar perspective and it isn't a small sum....

In my opinion, the Olympics have outlived their use and are now just an overgrown expensive commercial enterprise.
I have been an athlete since 9 years old. As we get older, it gets hard to keep that up, I lost it a bit but busy getting back into it.

What I do know, is what it takes to win a professional race, the training, conditioning your body, your diet, the time you have to put into it. The pain you have to endure towards pushing your body to its absolute limits. 20 hours a week is not enough, and it takes more than 5 years to get to a professional level. I can appreciate why some of these athletes burst out in tears when they cross the finish line first. That is why I have respect for the olympics, as I personally know what it takes.

We have both been soldiers, I can assure you being in the most difficult conditions is a walk in the park compared to what it takes to win some of the olympic events. I am also pretty sure, as a Canadian with all the support, your military time was a walk in the park compared to mine. Will be happy to compare notes.

Without sounding like I'm boasting in any way, shape or form but I wasn't in the conventional forces....our training was vastly more challenging than what people would believe.....

We did have olympic level trainers and coaches train us periodically and had a couple on staff as part of our physical fitness staff...once in a while they'd ask to bring one of their athletes on camp to train with us......they were quite surprised...

I respect the athletes.....not the venue.....the olympics were supposed to serve a purpose of unification but has turned into a political platform so has therefore turned me off the entire event.

If you want to keep up in a group of professional cyclists who are eligible to be selected for the Tour De France, and accordingly good enough to be selected for the olympics, there is no comparison. From the day you start, it will be a full time job more than 60 hours a week and it will take you at least 5 - 7 years to reach that level. You will have to work every day on what you eat, your weight, your nutrition, daily 130 mile rides, recovery and staying away from picking up a flu bug. You will know exactly what your body can do compared to just looking at your data and comparing it to the data of a competitor. You will know if you have a chance to be in the top ten, long before the race starts.

Once you cross the barrier of 30 years old, you will be at a disadvantage, which continues to get tougher. After 35, you have almost no chance.

As I said, there is no comparison to what we did in the military during training.

There is no olympics for this, but in comparison, Marc Marques started racing at 15 years old, that it is his life and the dedication that goes into that deserves a lot of respect. Physically, he has to remain in top condition to handle those G-Forces and throw a bike around over 300km/h. Those are unique folks with unique values of grit and perseverance. Interestingly most of them are also cyclists.

If you only knew.......

Take those olympic athletes, put 140lbs on their back, starve them of sleep, food, water and drop them in the middle of nowhere with a specific timing to meet in order to reach the objective, reach the objective and hopefully not have to fight your way in and out (but seem to always have to) then hump many more miles to the extraction point....and this happened to us in our unit all the time sometimes several times a week depending on operations.....we had to maintain a very high fitness level but not follow a specific training regime, we had to have endurance, strength and speed.....our physical fitness training was very intense and it had to be....people died if it wasn't.

See how they fare out.....

But but, you weren’t riding bicycles!

LOL, you have no idea.
A guy with a resting heart rate of 35 and enough endurance to do this for 8 hours continuously will not be breaking a sweat with your 140lbs pack when you get to the stage where you have to take a break.

I guess it depends on which one, you perhaps talking about the ballerinas?

Uh, ok......

You are 100% and I am 100% incorrect...

Yes, what we did was a vacation and can be done by anyone who can walk and talk I suppose.....

Lmao
It's staggering to read the numbers of just how few men, and what a low overall percentage of the military that SpecOps units make up...and how many try and fail the training every year.
And I can't knock the training, but training vs the real world job can't be anything alike.
I have incredible respect for everyone that has achieved this at any level, let alone made a career of it.

Elon Musk who many think is the pinnacle of the future says it like it is.....

I guess they now have a name for this problem.

Since you don't care for the use of Libtard. Perhaps since it's quoted in your posted video and this USA link, maybe we can agree on Woke Mind Virus. WMV for short. It's catching on if the media is now using it. Same people, different label.

And here I thought he was pissed because the WMV president held a summit for EV makers and didn't invite the largest producer of EVs to attend.

So there appears to be more than one reason why he chose to align with Trump.
