I think I bought a Hayabusa

A. He bought it and is too embarassed to tell us he had to push it home.

B. He bought and it's running fine, but he's not going to post here anymore because he thinks everyone here is an idiot for saying there'd be a problem.

C. He's been arrested after getting into an altercation with the dealer as he tried to cancel the sale.

Best wishes to the O.P., whatever the outcome.

I'll take "B"

I say cancel. One key is supposed to fit the ignition and the tank. The tank is probably a tank off another bike. That bike was probably wrecked at some point

Love is blind  If I bought it, my first ticket & it would be impounded 'cause the engine serial numbers didn't match the frame... Lets hope for the best with this one. Next guy gets a cherry with a little rust in the tank. High pressure fuel pump is only a couple hundred, and they are well filtered. Maby somebody's kid scratched the tank with a screwdriver,,,,

wow, I jsut saw this. I'm really hoping this guy cancelled the deal but since he hasnt posted since yesterday I've got to assume he didnt. I guess the good news is that he had cash to pay for it so at least he wont have to make payments while he's making repairs. Best of luck and I hope she holds up for ya.:beerchug:

for a second, i thought you may have been talkin about my old busa at State 8, but mine was clean and had keys....

i will say that when i bought my track bike from them, the checklist wasnt anything close to what i actually had to do to the bike to make it reliable..... lets jsut say i almost have as much in it out of pocket as i paid for the thing

Drop the deal you are being had.

With rust in the tank I don't believe the low milage either.

Get another Busa???

We will never hear from this guy. Because I am sure he bought the bike and doesn't want anyone ragging on him for it after asking everyones advice and then getting it anyway.

Too much cold water fm you guys when the guy was steaming hot to ride the Busa. Do you realize how long it's going to take and how much effort to put in to look for another one??? Poor guy can't take another sleepless night...
