I think I bought a Hayabusa

Unfortunately he'll probably fall for the BS the bike shop tells him like most of the general public does. That's why stealerships can get away with the crap they do and the reason bad dealing shops stay in business.

It was driven by a little old lady to church on Sundays. No, really ! Well sometimes to the corner store, but never raced or dropped ! Yeah, thats the ticket !

So did you buy it or not let it be known. I think we my have scared him off.

forget them find a new bike. The key should be the same as the ignition so either the ignotion was changed or the tank was so badly damaged they bought a new one to conceal a major drop. I would be hesitant especially when Busas are so abundant for that price check out the classified section here on the board. good luck :beerchug:

EXACTLY.. Dont buy it! Tank was replaced due to damage fukk that!

Hate to add to the broken record, BUT DON'T FREAKIN BUY IT! If you buy it you will be holding your head down in shame and your present/future children will be scorned for life and will never buy a Busa and you will be paying for all that therapy. You will be an 80 year old man, and future Busa owners will drive and point at your house while telling this story for many many years.

BTW...:welcome:

Don't give them any money...never call them back. Try Andrews at 330-332- 8534 ask for sales manager Bill Kaglic. Tell him Wardie sent you or call Ray Gollan 330-369-3700 both will help.

Sounds like there was more to this bike than meets the eye. Wardie:banghead:

Nothing could have stopped me from buying....once I made up my mind to go Busa! We all remember that feeling :poke:

I don't like it when bikes that are 4 years old have 3k miles on them? Makes me suspicious if the speedo's been swapped. Also, bikes develop problems when not ridden, like uh rusty gas tanks.

So, im not lik'n the silence on his part here, hope he did not purchase the thing, shame on them for trying to push something like that....

Well, they finally called me. Sales rep was on lunch and didn't get the message I left. They said the bike was done this morning and is ready to go.

I'm going there in a few hours. If the bike runs anything but perfect.... I'm taking my money back. They jerked me around hard. I don't appreciate that. I might ask for gear compensation for jacking me up.

The service manager could tell that I was peeved.... On his own account, he said they have been swamped as of late with people getting tires/oil changes/new sales/used sales, etc. and are backed up beyond belief. Whatever.

I'll let the .org know of the outcome later on tonight.

The last time said something was in the post from 3-31-09 at 2:57 and he hasn't post againg. He most be riding his new fake busa cause he has not post anything else.

Man we're wasteing our time telling him not to buy the bike cause it's obvious he's going to buy it and of course the dealership is going to tell you anything for you to but the junk.
You probably can't even get a warrenty because it's a used bike "SOLD AS IS" Don't be a sucker.

That's funny cause I was thinking the exact same thing. He's probably pushing it somewhere. Like my mom use to say "A Hard Head Makes A Soft Azz"

I bought a 2005 with a rusted tank and chain. Dealer replaced both items, I have done two trackdays already. Not a problem during the high performance riding on trackdays. It had 1700 miles and was a 2005, so while it may sound like a bad idea it is possible to get a good running bike if a little attention is done to it.

I guess you are a lucky one.
