there is a time and a place for everything. belive that.

may this year i was coming home with my 5 year old son in the truck. when i got to the intersection before my drive way the cops made me turn around. i told them i live in the apartments up ahead. he said park and walk home we can't let you drive through. while i was walking i counted at least 10 cop cars and a number of fire trucks and 1 ambulance.
my son asked what happened. when we got close enough i could see half a bike (what was a 929 or 954rr) from the foot pegs foward there was nothing left.
the bike was on fire and there was no rider in sight. about 150 feet away from the bike was what was left of the rider. a 25 year old well know'en bike rider from my area.
he was doing a wheelie in a 35 mph zone the people who say him walking the wheelie said he was at least in third doing 80 when the wheel came up.(experince riders were some of the witnesses). he walked it for a split second when a 80 year old lady on medication pulled out of the hospital and tried to across his lane to take a left.
he hit the left front fender so hard the bike exploded on impact. it was such a hard impact the debrie was spread out over 200 ft. thats were the police stoped picking up what was left of the bike.
he was being driven away to a diffrent hospital (i dont know why they didn't pull in the hospital in front of the accident) when i walked up. the lights were NOT on while the ambluance was driving away. you figure it out.

people who new this guy said he was a "bad ass rider"

since then i have not seen any more aftermathes but i have heard of i person running wide in a corner and kissing the grill of a car. he is no longer on this earth either. another "bad ass rider"

today when my kid see's me get on my bike i huge and kiss him like it's the last time. you never know. it only takes a split second to mess up and on a BUSA that second goes buy ALOT faster.

BE CAREFULL !!
bikes are no joke
yes they are fun
but there is a place and time for that fun.

here is a pic i got from the news that day of the accident to show all my riding buddys. i wish i had a digi cam at the time i would of got more pic to show everybody.

As everyone else has already pointed out,be careful.Hell,I can't keep my front tire on the ground in first and second when I want to,if I'm in the throttle hard-even laying on it.The bike will lift the front end effortlessly if you choose to,but it is heavy.Don't let the stability of this bike to lull you into a false sense of complacency.

Time Grasshopper...Time...

Don't rush any of the things you wish to do...

The wheelies will come, maybe...

The stoppies are a different issue...The Busa is heavy...Everything has to be perfect for stoppies on it...You the road and the brakes...If the road had any debris the front wheel will lock and slide...If you panic during that time, your going down...

Don't freak up your bike trying to stunt...   :muscle:
I've tried to stoppie my lowered busa many times.....All I can manage is to slide the front tire every single time no matter what I do.....my thought.....lowered busa=no stoppie

thats fine with me....I'd rather not crash anyway.

I think the moral of the story is...

Watch out for elderly woman on medication...

I could have been walking across the street infront of her and gotten the same amount of damage.

welcome to the pleasure dome Bachboy...

What does bach boy mean? You dig Sebastian?

Post pics of your bike and buy a shirt!

Definitions:

Wheelie - you are going too slow.

Stoppie - you are NOT using maximum braking.

Wheelie and stoppie mean anti-racing. So why is this in a racing forum? (just wanted to be a jerk for a moment?)

no the moral of the story is don't try your luck doing wheelies in a 35 mph zone. if you do, this could happen.
(look 10 postings up.)

well, i'm getting that funny feeling again. i think i am falling for the hayabusa. not sure why, but she's so beautiful, so sexy, so powerful. mmmmmm....hayabusa.......lol. anyways, this is an awesome thread and I love the high resolution pics!

DAMN THAT GUY HAS SOME BIG BIG BIG BALLS I MEAN THATS ALMOST A 10 OCLOCK STOPPIE WITH NO SHIRT, SHORTS ON NO GLOVES, AND MOST IMPORTANT NO DAMN HELMET, WE WONDER WHY SO MANY PEOPLE ARE GETTING HURT AND WHY SO MANY BUSA'S ARE WRECKED!!!!

Busa as a stunt bike? If your willing to trash a 10g bike then your nuts. Go get a 600 (used) and go play but not with a Busa.

Just my $1.28

I've only had the front wheel off the ground a couple times and that was in first gear. It was only several inches but enough to bring you back to reality when you aren't prepared for it. Pucker factor goes up quite a bit. Stay safe!

old post... but relevent post!

I still dont understand the logic behind trying to get the bike on one wheel
rock.gif
Not that I dont enjoy seeing stoppies or wheelies, but logically... stunting is stupidity! Just my feeling

Don't get me wrong but I love stunters. Just that I'd rather watch them do it and enjoy rather than put myself in exterme danger!

Just said that it was an old post. We get alot of people here that don't always read the orignal post....they just jump on a thread and start askin' questions....the guy that started this one doesn't even post here any more.
