Post 2166 is your viewpoint and is not the complete summation of this entire thread...I’m curious, who here has a hard time identifying with post 2166 in this thread?

You are just as entitled to your viewpoints as are the rest of us are entitled to ours....
None of us here are experts on foreign relations....all we can do is discuss things as an interest or hobby.....
I've stated my viewpoint on the subject of irradicating the people of Gaza to build some sort of foolish resort for the wealthy........and I've brought up more than one uneducated solution to Gaza and how it can move forward....not much more to say....
However......we talk about repetition of destruction....let's take a look at the US and people inhabiting known hurricane/tornado/wildfire/flood zones.....how many times do these places have to be destroyed and built again before they are deemed uninhabitable? Each season they get wiped out and then rebuilt, over and over.....yet it still gets done without question.......

Hamas are the issue, there needs to be a more robust method of eliminating their powerbase foothold...until that is done, there is no point to this entire conversation, take all the Palestinians away to "Lord knows where" and Hamas will still remain....build a luxury resort for the wealthy and entitled and watch Hamas conduct terror raids on a daily basis....you'd need an army of security and does anyone think for once second that the wealthy of the world will want to visit or live in such a place?

Good to know you have a hard time identifying with post 2166 and that Red as well as you think that scenario is void of common sense. Very enlightening. We have a fellow poster here who first opposed all your views, but since you have now done a 180 degree change, I am sure he applauds you as of today.
Was one of your suggestions that we bring all the Palestinians to the US. Somewhere in Texas?

Let's answer these questions, something similar you actually alluded to way back, before you changed your mind and the wind started blowing from a different direction.
1.) Why, when the ONLY time we see Hamas in uniform, do they ALL hide their faces?
2.) How many Palestinians are really innocent and willing to accept a two state solution, rather than wish for the obliteration of Israel?
The "wind" never changed direction...in my eyes Hamas were always the problem......
What has changed is the idiotic idea of ripping all the Palestinian people out of the Gaza to put in a resort......this is what I have a problem with.....to top that off, I know full well that in order to execute this plan, it would be a form of ethnic cleansing....something I never in a million years thought the US would ever condone or be part of....
The Palestines in Gaza need leadership...right now (or in the past) Hamas provided this be it good or bad....what needs to be done is the removal of Hamas and the introduction of leadership......perhaps the league of Arab nations can spearhead this?

I'm sure the Palestinians harbored Hamas both supporting them and hiding them.....they are an oppressed people.......if Hamas were so willing to butcher and kidnap Israelis, I would imagine they wouldn't hesitate in killing (or worse) any Palestinian who went against them........Hamas are the real problem here, not the Palestinians who for lack of better terms are "sheep" following their shepherd as evil as that shepherd may be.......

As for the relocation of the Palestinian people.....our government aren't the ones threatening to remove them from Gaza so we can build some sort of utopia for the rich and entitled.......
Do we agree on one important detail?
To remove Hamas in totality, is an impossible task without massive civilian casualties. And, the result of that would be severely criticized by the international community.
I don't take Trump seriously about what he says, I rather look at the results of what he does. I believe he his giving Bibi a free hand to do as he wishes. Perhaps if the previous Administration did that, this war would have been over by now.
I believe if Bibi is given a free hand, every person in Gaza would now be dead.....
Maybe less western involvement is what is needed in that region....let them settle their own conflicts.
If the answer were simple, it would have been resolved long before now.
This is like saying never ride with a flat tire, but if getting from point A to B is a matter of life and death, then the only option is riding with a flat tire, if you want to stay alive.
Perhaps that statement will be confusing to most here in terms of its relevance?
