MotoGp 2022

Apparently it was Bagnaia’s call which will require Miller to use it too noting that the new motor’s power delivery was “a little bit aggressive” and was not enough of an approvement over last year’s motor. They’ll be stuck with it all year too. How’d you like to have a street ducati with a motor that was ‘a little bit aggressive’? :firing:
Have to assume that's why they were playing with that "Digeridoo" super long exhaust all pre-season trying to tame the beast.

Suzuki's pre-season speed was no fluke it seems. Early I grant you but when was the last time a Suzuki was the top speed in a MotoGP race weekend?

Things are looking good atm for the Hamamatsu bikes thats for sure no need for slipstream.
The Hondas are looking sweet to.
Are Ducati holding back ?

Anyways its been fricken awesome watching MotoGP again :)

Wow THE BEAST kicks ass awesome !!

Great result for Brad Binder and KTM 2nd

Pol did a darn good race to be up front for sooo long but you could see he'd pushed his tyres .

Wonder how much fuel they all had left ?

Bastianini is truly a Beast man, he was good last season on a 2 year old Ducati, and now he is kicking ass on a 1 year old Ducati! I was cheering him on that last 5 laps, even more so since I am no fan of Pol. The Suzuki threat never really materialized, curious what they say after. Hard to make any conclusions as to the season as this track is not really very comparable to most of the others.

Jack Miller likely did his tenure at Ducati no good by posting the tweet below after the race. Especially after Pecco wiped out Martin!

Extra credit if anyone can tell me what the rubber band wrapped around the blue knob in this picture is for? Those holes in the frame are to tune the stiffness, and the rear-sets look super beefy. Beleive this is Pecco's bike.

I get the Ducati shot themselves in the head reference but what’s the hand with pasta reference about? And Miller “retired”?

As for the race I always like to see three brands on the podium! It shows me that the individual teams are doing their best to really compete. And 4th place was a different brand too. Was surprising to see Dovi and Vinales bringing up the rear for most of the race though and not even finishing in the top ten as well. WTH? MMs Honda, or MM himself didn’t seem to have enough oomph left towards the finish. Which was it? And what a sad event for those two Ducati riders, one losing the front cutting inside and taking the other out.

MM is still not 100% physically. He said he was shooting for April or so.

Wow! did you hear the interview with Fabio? He basically said nothing went wrong, the bike sucks. Ouch!

Besides complaining about the lack of speed he blamed his 9th place finish on an increase in his front tire’s air pressure. They don’t actually use regular ‘air’ do they? Anyway he was almost 11 seconds slower than 1st place. Rossi’s team’s best finish was 13th and Marini was still nearly a half minute out of 1st. Bezzecchi only lasted 16 laps. Still, it’s only the first race.
