Mototeck undertail - group buy

Well, mine has to go back.  The wires in the tail light housing aren't connected properly causing the tails/brakes to flicker and go on and off.  Called exotic and after a bit of a run around, UPS is picking the old one up and I'll get a new tail when they get my old one.  Now I have a bike with a chopped up rear section that I can't ride.

EDIT: It appears the matter will be taken care of quickly

ahh...i'd tell them to send you a new tail and after you get it you will send the bad one back... as slow as they are getting the rest of us our tails you could be waiting weeks for a tail to come back to you and your bike will be unridable...

mine did also.

but after i jiggled it it was fine...

it did not do it again, will have to see after her first ride of the season if it happens ...

There should be no flickering with jiggling. Unfortunately, the manufacturer made these so that you cannot fix the problem yourself. These undertails were thrown together at the last minute to fill the orders we made. Due to the length of time it took to receive them and the quality of the product.... The results are obvious .

i have to disagree or i am misunderstanding what you mean by thrown together.. these are already premade and full assembled mototeck.. quaility was not compromised specifically for our group buy.. maybe you can explain what i am not getting.

there was no rush mass production specifically for us by mototeck.. maybe you mean thrown together as in packing and shipping by the vendor?

sorry about the mishaps or bad wiring and long time for delivery.. but you do have a full one year warranty covering the entire undertail, including wiring and LEDs
thank you.

I understand that your buddies at exotic have told you this Kkattan, however the circumstances surrounding this event seem to indicate otherwise.  This is not an attack on you and I don't know why you are defending the vendor like you are.  Exotic needs to be communicating with the people that still have not reveived thier orders.  Putting you as the middle man and using you to shield them from thier customer's complaints is unproffessional.

Great, it looks like I'm not the only one with the tail light issue.

I suppose my replacement will possibly have the same issue then. I guess now we all have to wonder if we still have tail lights when we hit a bump. I do at least 90% of my riding at night too.
